Thank you very much. Yes it is an exciting pair. I have their dilute son which will be ready to breed in the 2024 season, but I really hope to get some more offspring from the mother this year to work with. She is on the limit in terms of age so I hope she breeds successfully this year (2023).

Hi. You can normally safely remove youngsters at about forty five days old. In a colony setup I would be tempted to leave them longer so that they can learn good parenting from the other pairs and often these chicks will help feed the younger siblings from the next round.

wow all i do is give them seeds and soaked seeds with no routine and my gouldians breed like rabbits i think we over compilcate gouldians.

I do think you can over complicate it but you can see the size and type difference on well breed birds.
