I love it and already got 3 notebooks. There is only one downside for me to this paper. If you have a little sweaty hands like me sometimes, and you touch the paper on places you haven't written on jet , the ink tends to not grap on the paper. Solution ofcourse: blotting paper. Other then that, although I love tomoe river paper, the Cosmo air is my favorite. Mostly because of the little feedback feeling, the faster drying time and seems to make my inks more bright and sheen more.

That was a fun review. Seeing pens and ink I also have gives me conference that when Tomoe River finally switches to the new TR, all will not be lost.

This is the best paper test for fountain pens I have seen. I love how you make your lower case "g." We make them the same way. I hope you make a lot more of these. I have a Cosmo journal, and I got the blank. My ink isn't interrupted by the dots on the paper and my Robert Oster Fire and Ice Ink sheens better than with my Tomoe River paper, which I didn't think that would be possible. Good stuff, Azizah-thanks, as always. Several weeks after my CAL notebooks arrived, I’m still undecided. Poppy colors, yes, dig that, but don’t know yet about that odd texture. I bought several of these - but all in the standard TN size as I felt it was a unique set up. Paper-wise I like it, but it did not blow me away to the point of thinking it replaces TRP as my favorite. However, I know TRP changed recently and I have not done (nor will I) extensive comparisons. It may come down to what is available in what format (for me). Plus if anyone reading this knows of a good folio cover for the standard TN size (that will take the 320p or 192p version of the CAR books on etsy) - please comment. Thank you!

I may need to get that Diamine Amber. It looks like it shades similar to Noodler’s Apache Sunset (one of my favorites). I find myself really enjoying those high shading yellow/orange inks. The shipping on that notebook almost doubles the cost. Trying to learn a little bit of book binding to hand make a journal. Practicing on regular copy paper for now and have made a couple sketchbooks for my daughter. TR loose leaf A4 paper isn’t horribly expensive and I could make a 400 page journal A5 size from 100 sheets of A4.

I've watched several other of your videos, so it's about time I subscribed. When you wrote with the Sailor 1911 I actually paused the video and looked up TPC Great Lakes. I should have known by the name alone that there'd be a snowball's chance in hell I'd be able to find that ink on this side of the pond. What is with me and my innate obsession for unobtainable inks/fountain pens/paper??? Anyhoo. I could buy it on their site, but they're charging me 44 bucks in shipping alone. Hahahaha! For that kind of money, I expect a butler to deliver the ink in a Rolls Royce and to then do my dishes for a week. So... do you know of any other inks that are similar in colour to TPC Great Lakes, by any chance? Preferably one that it commonly available? Thanks! :)

I found my EF nibs wrote more medium to broad. I wasn’t too happy with that result.

I'm going to wait until your full review, in large part because I've been burned by some recycled papers lately. I currently make my own tablets from TR 68gsm loose sheets, and alternate those with Rhodia R. I'm nervous about what I think I see as fine nibs spreading to medium or even broad strokes on this stuff.

May I ask about the pen filled with mont-blanc rose Burgundy, what pen is it? And what kind of nib is it?

It's a MB 146 Bordeaux but the nib is their bespoke calligraphy nib that I had on a different pen and just swapped over

Yes, a little bit. It's not as bad as some other dot grids I've seen and I don't find it so bad that it's annoying, but it does happen.

Looks like cool paper. I am just curious why you are dipping a water brush in water? I love the opus 88 with the three line modified Pilot parallel nib.. ! I have started modifying my own parallels for my three opus 88s..

Azizah, I just found your video about the Pilot Parallel nibs with the Opus 88 Color Demonstrator, which you're using in this video. Is there a less expensive pen that will fit the parallel nib? Next, what is the name of the three-line producing nib?

I tried that myself, I couldn't get the parallel nib unit into the moonman. But I did get it into a schaeffer

The C1 has a fude nib (reviewed in her last video) and the Pilot Parallel nib is in an Opus 88 Koloro (it fits pretty easily in that; you just pull out the whole nib unit).

Just ordered this in grid paper. The shipping on Etsy was almost as much as the notebook just fyi. I tried other shops but they only sold in blank paper and I can’t do blank paper.

I absolutely hate this paper. Yes, inks look amazing on it, there is no denying that (though there are some downsides to that part too). But its the actual process of writing on it that I hate. It feels like when you run a damp finger over glass, or like running on a sandy beach. There is VERY strong stiction and resistance to writing that opposes any nib I've tried on it except for extra fines (and the paper makes nibs write wider too), like you have to put some extra heft into dragging the nib across the page. Some paper helps a nib glide. This paper actively discourages you from ever considering writing in the first place. Yuck.
