Guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer, session-musician...this only begins to describe Jack Pearson. He is best known as an A-list blues/rock lead and slide guitarist but Jack is also a soulful, creative songwriter and artist in his own right. Adept at many musical genres and instruments, he possesses the ability to take each to a higher level. His playing is sophisticated while full of intensity and passion, leaving audiences cheering and musicians smiling - shaking their heads in disbelief at his seemingly effortless skill and talent. Blues Revue calls him a “world-class guitarist” and Rolling Stone brags on his “light touch and fluid, jazzy style...dynamic slide playing”. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Jack has been influenced by many styles of music and his knowledge of the history of each allows him to deliver a “true to the tradition” performance. During his 40+ year career he has mastered a wide range of instruments including electric, slide, acoustic and resonator guitar, mandolin, old time banjo and Hammond organ, which he incorporates into many musical styles such as blues & roots music; jazz & bebop; pop & rock; and bluegrass & country. His versatility and musicianship keep his live shows and recordings fresh and exciting. Jack was a member of The Allman Brothers Band from 1997-1999 and has worked with music legends from the world of jazz, rock, blues and country including The Allman Brothers Band, Gregg Allman, Vince Gill, Jimmy Buffett, Tommy Emmanuel, Keb Mo’, Delbert McClinton, Earl Scruggs, Chris LeDoux, Bobby “Blue” Bland, Mac McAnally, Amy Grant, Groove Holmes, Mike Snider, Faith Hill, Ronnie Milsap, Jimmy Hall, Gov’t Mule, Buddy DeFranco, T. Graham Brown, Shelby Lynne, Jimmy Raney, Lee Ann Womack, Vassar Clements, Bonnie Bramlett, Mundell Lowe, The Jordanaires, Jim Horn, Lee Roy Parnell, Kirk Whalum, Martina McBride, Taj Mahal, Trace Adkins, Dr John, Sam Moore, Eric Church, John Hiatt, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and the list goes on and on. Guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer, session-musician...many people in Nashville and beyond can claim those descriptors, but Jack Pearson is a truly gifted performer and an American musical treasure.

Most definitely Jack has awesome unique tone and style. Additionally, Jack is misunderstood by many that dont understand he has a severe hearing issue that he has had for years and it is actually painful for him to perform often especially at loud volumes, for that reason he prefers being a session musician of sorts and tours with various bands that work best for his situation.

Joan, years ago you donated a guitar for the JAMMIN SCRAMBLE GOLF TOURNEY and auction my band used to have annually for the local Humane Society way down south in Néw Iberia LA. It had to be Brian Lourd who is from here who probably sent it to us. I never had the chance to thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️. If I remember correctly we had a bid of 5000.00 for the signed guitar you gratefully sent. If you ever come this way I owe you a great Cajun Meal. Love Warren and Jack. There is a version of Midnight Rider (Greg Allmans version) that Tommy Emmanuel and Jack play that is so good you must hear it. All the best. Andy

I have a Les Paul, 1995 Studio in burgundy and chrome. Love that thing. But my kids started banging it up when they started showing an interest, so I bought them a Squire Strat to play on and bang around. They lost interest, so it became mine, and I love it. Paid a whole $78 for it, it's a Strat Pak SE model, MIM parts fit it. I bought a $150 new Affinity Tele - blonde, my Keith Richard/Black Crowes guitar. It, also, is amazing. Plays as well as my brothers 90's american tele. But, finally, I have an Indonesian Affinity strat I paid $34 for... thinner neck/nut, but you can Jimi-chord it all day long. Now I know why he likes them, I LOVE them. It's a sickness. Now I'm searching pawn shops and used guitar shops for more squiers... :-) Try it, you'll like it. Just find a neck you like.

I watch Jack Pearson with Marty Schwartz Music interview and come to find out that Jack plays Indonesian Squiers..he is using one here....so go to Marty Music...and search Jack and realize it is the hands and the ear that make the music even on a 125 dollar squier like he is playing here on stage..(6:32 into this you can see this is Alpine White Squier) like the one he plays with Marty - he also used this guitar on the Allman Bros Band Tribute album: here is my post on Marty's Channel...I have owned American, Japanese, Korean, Mexican and yes Chinese and Indonesian...and I gave up all my American Feders for better playing - foreign versions...thanks again Jack for giving me a feeling that I do not have to be a snob with a PRS or even a Gibson even though I still have two of those.!!! First thing off THE MARTY SCWARTZ POST: "Thank you Marty Schwartz" I probably have heard Mr. Pearson a zillion time due to his relationships with the "Allman Bros. Band" AND WHEN i WATCHED THIS i WAS ASKING MYSELF WHO IS HE? Me anD you have many things in common when it comes to Mr. Pearson...and his career...then to see him go through his collection and to Give Me Permission to be proud to "Own not only Fender but SQUIER BY FENDER INTSTRUMENTS"!!! Now I have always said lately...many Squiers (Indonesian are being made as well and sound as good as some American Models) Jack going throught all these guitars...tells us the voice is in the hands and the wood! To See as many "so called Cheap Guitars" being played BY HIM and used and then used on the Allman Bros Tribute Album...rock on Squier now I watch his performace's closely and I am amazed he his using them in many performances....Thank you Jack for allowing me to own and be proud that I got rid of some of my American Boat Anchors for light weight resonated Indonesian, Korean and Chinese made instruments...$87.00 bucks...to 125 bucks with Million dollar sound by Jack Pearson!

Well, I guess he switched guitars again. At one point, Pearson had gone to the music store to pick up a cheap guitar for a friend of his's little kid. And after trying out ALL the guitars in the store, the best one was a $130 Squier sunburst Strat. He kept it for himself, played it for years.

Huh? It's called jamming. Unless you're referring to the mess at the beginning while they were trying to fix the amp.
@richardbrucemusic4 жыл бұрын
@@WardenJune nope. Been playing guitar for 50 years. I know lost when I hear it. They're not gods - just musicians. And it happens sometimes when you take the kind of risky improvisation that they are known for. Fortunately, they were able to put the train back on the tracks before it became a total train wreck. Now, you may hear it different. But that's something your mind is inserting, because it certainly was almost gone completely off the tracks.
@WardenJune4 жыл бұрын
@@richardbrucemusic Read some of the other comments. So far you are the only one who sees it that way. Keep in mind it was an impromptu jam, Jack Pearson isn't in Govt Mule. You probably knew that. What time frame do you think they were off the track? I think Jack Pearson is almost deaf too. Not that he needs an excuse.
@richardbrucemusic4 жыл бұрын
@@WardenJune after your last comment, I watched and listened again more carefully. So maybe lost isn't the right word. But between 6:00 and 7:00 the bass player is attempting some kind of solo, and failing pretty miserably. Definitely no Berry Oakley. So while the others are playing the chords and keeping the beat, it must have affected Jack's playing a little. So I'll rephrase my comment to "meandering" or "drifting". Guess I'm just used to the ABB recordings being a little tighter. Again, maybe Jack was a guest and not a regular? He seems a little off at times, too. Forgive me if I came across as overly harsh or critical.
@WardenJune4 жыл бұрын
@@richardbrucemusic well Jack is a guest on this but he was in the Allman Brothers for a couple years himself, in the '90s. But the song that they're playing isn't an Allman Brothers song, it's a Marshall Tucker Band song.
