I watched all your videos and thanks so much for providing installation tips. I live in Canada and might end up doing DIY install. I thought my Govee Outdoor Pro is waterproof but the power supply that came with it says for indoor use and dry location only 😢

You can mount under the eave and be fine, or use a gasketed controller box 🤷🏼‍♂️ really you shouldn’t have to have power outside anyway though.

When using www.govpermtrack.com tracks you have a nice clean mount base that the lights stick to very strong. Also, the puck mount covers that clip to the track slightly squeeze the puck and hold it in place as well. We do use clips in various places for securing extension wires and what not…

It varies from market to market and installer experience. Essentially I would urge you to get quotes from competitors and check your installers references/ experience. You will find that Govee is generally the most affordable option. However, full custom installs with a permanent track system and color matching essentially involves the same labor effort as other brands.

Make sure you know about the Govee security and privacy issues the app has. I would not install these mainly because of this.
