Yes area 51 exists. My father is a nuclear sub veteran from the cold War. During the late 80s he worked at a nuclear lab for the department of u.s. energy and told me a story of when he was flown to the Nevada test site on the way other people on the plane were to be dropped off at area 51. Everyone on this plane not being dropped off at area 51 were blindfolded and never knew they had stopped at area 51 for any reason. I remember my Dad telling us we were were at high risk for beings abducted because he worked on nuclear warheads and had access to plutonium

The government did this a long time ago. What they did not do is explain the other movies and videos that have been deleted, removed or forgotten about. You know, the ones that were seamless and had no detectable indications of fraud or digital manipulation? The ones that had no credit roll or opening production credits until several years after the fact and you could always detect where they just added little footage at the start and end that had very little to do with any actual footage in between? What they also did not address was how certain individuals received or found certain information that was almost immediately refuted and claimed as fraudulent. It would seem that the government (or somebody at least somewhat knowledgeable of the time period and key figures) was handing out truth clouded with just enough disinformation to be able to cast doubt upon it. If there were nothing at all to it, then there would be no need to go after the information and eliminate it the way in which they do. That seems to be the largest indicator that the stories and lore developed (while most likely embellished) are based upon the truth as perceived by the public and other witnesses.
