It’s a spectacular knife! I love mine in double edge and I have an interceptor and a Tanto on the way!

Just ordered mine with the double edge and partial serrations. I just wish it was available in black at the moment I ordered it; I had to settle for the Apocalyptic Red color.

I bought a UTX-85 a couple of years ago. No matter what I do, the slider is so stiff, it shreds my thumb after a few cycles. I really hope MT has resolved that issue in the new gen OTFs. I'm at the point where I'm not willing to risk spending that much money on a knife that's essentially unusable.

I had similar issues. The new slider is smooth, you won’t have a problem.

Terrible design. The button is extremely narrow, and the two springs are very tight, making it extremely hard on the thumb. Over time, it causes redness, swelling, and even calluses. I can’t understand how such an expensive knife could be designed without considering this issue.

I kinda like it, but I kinda think the previous version looks more "Microtech" and a bit more elegant. The ONLY thing MT needs to do is copy the button system used by Guardian Tactical where the button rides on ceramic beads over a stainless steel plate. My GT 035 and 040 Recon both have amazingly light firing buttons despite the forceful ejection and retraction of the massive 4.2" blade. I don't care one iota about that goofy ball-pocket clip - it's a total non-issue. I'd love to see MT go to the next level with a 4.5" deployed blade without making it break the bank.
