From all the comments I've seen claiming that the accuracy of the GPS on the Amazfit devices is way off, I'm thinking it must be a quality control issue on Amazfit's part. Personally though the GPS on mine is pretty solid!

Happy to hear that Bettina! I think stereotypes have to be shattered... especially if they aren’t true👌Amazfit have problems with HR sensors, I’ve done the initial testing vs Polar H10 chest strap.. but their GPS is quite accurate 💪

@@WesKnows mine is wayyy off. Did a 10k run and is it is over 1km over distance.

There are 3 option for gps for you to choose if you are using GTR 2. From your watch go to setting - user preference - positioning services. You can choose GPS+GLONASS this is good for user in Russia, South/North Pole or choose GPS+BDS this is good for user in China, Asia and neighbor region. Or choose GPS+Galileo if you are in Europe. Or try all 3 options and check which best for your location

Thanks for the video, i have just bought honor magic watch 2 and the sole purpose was to go phonefree but as you said the GPS is disappointing it keeps wandering off, have to replace it and get amazfit GTR 2

Can you tell me how stable the bluetooth connection to headphones is whilst running? I have read an Amazon review suggesting that it is patchy and this would be a deal breaker for me. Thanks.

In my case when walking the gps is pretty accurate, but when running it is way off (shows huge zigzags on the map and overestimates the distance by 25% due to that). GTR 2e
