@@laundrieshanging9077 The standard car makes 200kW crank, or as you say about 270hp crank. So yeah, I’m asking for an extra 130hp crank or 93kW. @Desideratus213 жыл бұрын
@@laundrieshanging9077 spot on mate! 210kw = 282hp ( multiply HP by 0.7457 to get KW ) But considering this is a brand new car and front engined and they are testing in only front wheel drive the drivetrain loss factor should be roughly around 12% So keeping that in mind the engine would be roughly 321bhp now if making 210fwkw.

@@Desideratus21 And about 325hp crank is where the stock turbo falls off, so i'd say it's inline with what you can expect out of it, personally it's a good region to be in. because modern engine have been pushed towards efficiency... then use barely enough spring rate/preload, then there is rocker arm as opposed to direct acting shim-bucket type of valve operation...and probably hydraulic lifter in the mix as well for nvh of the engine... unlike older engine gen where simple stuff makes them reliable..also not bound to so many rules and restriction like nowadays... *edit: addition: i bet the piston ring used also have quite low tension type of ring (waiting for oil consumption and oil dilution issue on long run)

@Sci-flyer3 жыл бұрын
not really. The ZZs made all their performance from high rpm so needed to work in the 7000+ range. Turbo engines don’t need to be constantly right at the redline for performance so overly-stiff valve springs weren’t necessary. This does not mean the engine is somehow weaker.
