Can you give us some more feedback on the single mass flywheel? Ie. Does the engine rev faster in lower gears, do the revs drop faster for the gear changes and does heel and toe feel more snappy than before?

You always do multiple upgrades prior to each test. Would be nice to see one upgrade test, one upgrade test etc. Obviously diff would be next upgrade after better clutch. Then probably drive shafts and finally prop.

Problem is, it may not be possible to do 1 upgrade at a time. Intake and exhaust yeah but valve springs, cams etc

Removing the dual mass fly wheel for a one piece item can cause gear box and engine issues, from synchro failures to cracked cases and bolts backing out, will be interesting if the Yaris holds up to this.

I don't see why you can't reuse the factory electronic wastegate with the upgrade. G2-550 should be just about perfect for engines under 1.6L. In terms of the manifold, typically only tubular options exit. Much rather have a cast manifold for simplicity and durability reasons.

We dyno GT-Rs in 2WD…… The Yaris has different diff ratios front to rear so has issues when used on a retarder style dyno. We covered this previously We, and Powertune know what we’re doing and many have found same problem and copied what we’ve done.

Hub dynos are good.. but just take a bit more setup time, but when you are spending that amount of time at the Dyno it is worth it.

Hub dynos are way quicker to set up than chassis dynos - just pop the wheels off and slap the retarders on, job done. There's too much fucking about with chassis dynos, they're an obsolete tech these days.

@@ChristopherHallett Too much unsubstantiated nonsense hub vs roller especially in the US. There's no debate when it comes to big power with AWD. Tony @T1 was able to add more ignition advance by eliminating the chance of wheel spin. No longer do you need two friends sitting on the car in order for it to not spin the tires either.

We've covered this maybe 2000 times. They released the base model for 40K driveaway in Sep and started deliveries in Nov 20. The first Rallye models didnt arrive until May this year and they cost 15K more. SO no, we shouldn't have bought it

@@James-dx9ho Yeah, there was a special here in Australia where the "base" model without the LSDs was A$39,950 driveaway. The "Rallye" (circuit pack in the UK) costs A$15,000 more, so it definitely would not have been cheaper. Since the special for the first 1,000 cars sold out many months ago, now it probably makes sense to just buy the Rallye since the price difference is only a few thousand.

@@James-dx9ho No worries at all - I believe the "base" model here in AU reflects the "convenience pack" version in the UK (minus parking sensors). This was the one offered with a significant discount for first 1,000 models. The "Rallye" version came later, and reflects a combination of both the "convenience pack" and "circuit pack" versions in the UK (i.e., Rallye has all the luxuries of the convenience pack but also the LSDs, lighter wheels, upgrade suspension and red calipers) but also cost a good $15,000 (or almost 38%) price increase over the discounted "base" model. I understand that you can only pick one or the other there?

could be a very good reason for using a DMF for harmonic balance on a 3 Cyl, I reckon crank failure before gearbox failure. Interesting to see how long it lasts. Yaris with a DCT best solution.

No such thing as track pack in Australia. So no LSDs for out car from factory It is four wheel drive but we dyno it in 2WD as factory 4WD system plays up due to mismatched diff ratios front to rear
