Most of the woodworking channels I’ve watched have been mostly if not all power tools. Being honest I didn’t know there were woodworkers that used only hand tools. They have recently been coming to my feed. I love it! The sheer talent and artistry you have, being precise on details. As I’m watching when using your hand planner and the pieces curling up so thin I could imagine the pure satisfaction you must get from your work. My career is in making dentures. While I’m good and I get satisfaction from a job well done I have seen others with much more skill and talent. Not that I don’t constantly work at it and after 42 years I honestly am proud of the work I put out but watching this is inspiring and motivating. I just started doing a little woodworking but seeing this just thrills my soul! Thank you for sharing your talent and the beautiful work you do. Now that I’ve found you I will be watching all your videos!

There really is something so soothing and peaceful when working with hand tools! It seems the modern woodworker is enamored with machines and there is a place for them, but the satisfaction of a hand tool project is just different

One of the most enjoyable woodworking videos I’ve seen on KZbin. Just the sights and sounds of your shop. The tea break and the thunderstorm were the icing on the cake. A wonderful reminder to me to be more reverent of my own work, space and craft. Thank you!

what strikes me most of your work and videos is the simplicity and minimalism of your techniques and tools. It seems all you need to make all these beautiful projects area couple of Block Planes (home made), your nice Clifton number 4, some chisels, some inexpensive Japanese saws, and look the amazing work you do! See, here in United States people have tons of expensive tools, huge shops packed with all sort of expensive machinery, they boast to know it all, but at the end you don't even see the results. We try hard to impress others with tools, nice shops, fancy workbenches, and thats all. Americans believe that buying a $20K Piano makes of you a pianist. Great work man. keep it up!

You are only the second ever woodworker I've ever seen get such a good fitting on a set of drawers that by pushing one in no air can escape and the second one opens, the other was a master Japanese cabinet maker well into his 70s who probably started as a young child. I can only marvel at that level of perfection
@stevensantos3398 Жыл бұрын
