Watching this a second time, I think my favorite part was seeing the bolts pre-placed in the bottom rung when gluing in the base at 18:53 - a critical step I can see myself completely forgetting!! 😅. Well done and beautiful results.

There is no way of mistaking your work for any other's. There is a comforting predictability in types of wood used in your builds. The mix of simplicity of the object combined with the incredible attention to detail in the joinery and brass highlights is beyond captivating making each piece unique and a true treasure. I am building a box for my grandson that was inspired by one you had shown, but have to admit I feel I've stolen something. Hats off sir

Obviously you are a master craftsman but you are also master in many aspects. The design of your projects is amazing. Your use of jigs to ensure precision. Your freehand work is also very precise. Your videos are very well edited showing enough of the process to represent the entire build without showing repetitive tasks like sawing many of the same pieces. In the modest length of your videos you teach your viewers a lot about how to process wood. Your explanation at the end regarding why you did certain things is valuable information. And then there’s the choice of music, it is great. I love hearing the music you choose. In every aspect you are a master. Your videos entertain, teach and inspire. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

Who on God's earth would have ever thought that a lowly shelf could be elevated to such a regal level? Wherein lies it's beauty? Is it the way you brought out the beautiful grain of that walnut? Is it the unexpected design of all the angles and all the pieces that don't connect that we think should? Is it the space between the shelves and the uprights and the space down the center of each shelf? Is it the airtight joinery with it's precise angles? I don't know. All I can do is ask myself what kind of a man can do this to lowly bookshelf. This is not a display of a piece of furniture, it is a display of the artist that created it. You are truly the Emperor of jigs and fixtures bringing a precision to woodworking normally reserved to a high end machine shop. But there is a layer of resourcefulness and creativity rarely found anywhere. What else can I say? Art from Ohio

Perfect. If there is a word that has no meaning, this is it. Also phenomenal can be found here, to describe things that people won't put any effort into. Ironic the work here looks so effortless, but not really. The work is done in the mind, not by the hands. It's just a matter of poling holes and cutting the bits off that don't look like a bookcase. The walnut deserves all the credit, and Mother Nature.
