Mike, my husband is a super fan! We’re stationed at Buckley AFB and he has been watching your videos way before we moved here! The Buckley Spouses’ Group is having a silent auction Feb 28 at Launchpad Brewery. Would you consider donating to our auction? All proceeds go to scholarships. My husband gave me the idea to reach out because , secretly, I think he wants to meet you! Your work is beautiful!!

I've been doing woodworking most of my life and those "super secret biscuits" were super secret to me too, I've never seen them before.

Look them up on eBay, you can still get them. They work great for long joints as with the sides to the legs.

@9:41 do you cut the legs to have the grain running downhill so smoothing would be easier and avoid tear-out?
@MikeFarrington5 жыл бұрын
Yes, if possible. I always looks at the grain and if it is possible I always cut so that the grain runs along with the taper. This will make planing very easy, as it did in this case.

Mike, I've been searching through the comments to see if you explain how the back is affixed to the cabinet and concealed on bottom. Hope you see this, and amazing build. Thanks!

I used screws, the back is set into a rabbet. Nothing too special.
