Great video. Very informative to the very end. Growing orange and white tomatoes because they are not as acidic as red varieties. When you get older and have acid reflux got to eat foods that won't upset the tummy. Was expecting to see a rainbow at the very end.

Crazy real fan here lol. We have the "wildfire smoke" here too in Northeast TN. Its making everything grow really slow. Be careful of the rabbit hole, once you go down, there's no coming back lol. Love the new baby. You are doing such a great job gardening! You are my inspiration to get out there and keep growing. I wanted to start market growing this year to sell as well but it didn't work out and my stuff is just now growing well. So trying to learn as much as possible and hopefully start selling next year.

It was a previous vlog but i don't have time to hunt it down but you were talking about your Tulsi basil being "broken" it must be bc my hubby and i think it smells somewhat like bubblegum. I can send you some of my seed if you want. Also, when I save seeds and want to keep the genetics pure i cover the blossom set with a little mesh bag and then mark the deaignated tomato with a string so i know which seeds to save. You probably alreafy know that but are too busy I get it! Happy gardening! Love your channel

I just found your videos and am loving them. I’m on the coast of WA so my growing season and weather is way different from yours. I grow about 30 tomato plants each year. Have you tried Sun Green? Larger than sun gold but sweet and the color is awesome in a basket. Also for a large red slicer heirloom I have had great success with Polish. First to set, 1-2 pound fruit , no cracking and amazing flavor.

Squash bugs ... I found that foliar spraying molasses every two weeks prevents damage from any soft bugs. They can't handle sugar which is why they don't attack extremely healthy plants. I learned this from John Kempf at advancing ego agriculture. Thanks for the awesome videos!.

That was interesting to hear about snipping the fruit off stunted plants. Up here in the southern part of Canada, we can grow a lot of stuff, but the season is pretty short. So the emphasis tends to be more about things like snipping flowers, so they put their energy into ripening before it gets too cold. We have very hot, sunny summers (usually) , but the real heat, like 75-85 deg only lasts July august, outside that it’s mid may to September, but it’s cooler.

Late to the party but the best defense against hornworms is wasps. a few species parisitize the little fookers and give them a mohawk of little wasp cocoons. The worm stays but it goes zombie and stops eating.

I agree that rotating frequently is important in keeping parasites at bay. But, it’s not a 100%. Parasites can occur in any area where there are also wild animals. Wild animals carry and spread the parasites too. So, even if you rotate every day and never come back to the same spot even once, your animals can still be exposed to parasites from wild animals.

For growing disease and bug resistant plants the best information I found so far has been by John Kempf with Advancing Eco Agriculture and Dan Kittredge with Bionutrient Food Association. I was able to save Fruit trees with Fireblight and Black Knot. Have not seen a potato bug in few years now. Saw a tomato hornworm last time few years ago and left it there. But animal pressure has increased ten fold unfortunately.

See all these videos that people see where men say things like, " what do you have to offer"? When it comes to the dating scene in 2024. Well,😮😢 right here is a prime example of what type of woman men want to marry. It just doesn't get any better than this right here and this guy who was smart enough to somehow snag himself this amazing human being is a lucky one. So any of you women online wondering what men want just take notes. It doesn't have to be a farm girl or whatever but just the work ethic, kindness, extremely motherly, family oriented, smart and beautiful! ✅ ✅ ✅ ✅ and more ✅,s! The American dream for alot of guys. If your a younger single woman who is curious than take notes from this family and women. You don't need to watch all these podcasts where dudes are tearing the girls down and giving them the 3rd degree. Just watch someone like this with their channel . I get everybody is different and that's great but this is a great road map to personality traits lol

Question...do you boil the milk after you milk the cow? I heard it kills any bacteria in the milk before human consumption.
@honeytrailfarm2 ай бұрын
Nope, we drink raw milk
@Chattanoogachoochoo_0105a2 ай бұрын
@honeytrailfarm it's still a good idea to boil it to kill bacteria...so you don't care if there's bacteria in your milk huh. Yes, it is generally a good idea to boil raw milk after milking a cow to kill any harmful bacteria that might be present. Boiling the milk ensures it is safe for human consumption by eliminating pathogens such as E. coli, Salmonella, and Listeria12. However, if the milk has already been pasteurized, which involves heating it to a specific temperature to kill bacteria, there is no need to boil it again3. Pasteurized milk is safe to drink straight from the container.
