That must then be a very rare phenomenon? I don't believe in anything superstitious but I would nevertheless have gotten out of that cave faster than a any fish can swim if that had happened to me. In the documentary "Into the unknown" about the operation to retrieve his two deceased friends after the accident in Pluragrotten in 2014, you can get a sense of how calm Sami is in potentially life-threatening situations when there is a rock slide in the cave right where he is. The footage is, for obvious reasons, chaotic during the rock slide but to me Sami appears to be completely calm and just tries to make himself as small as possible while clinging to the cave wall to protect himself while the rocks is falling all around him, waits until the rumbling stops, and then he continues the operation. He even jokes about it after the dive. I'm not a diver myself and certainly not a cave diver, but if I would do a cave dive I would've felt far more safer with Sami as a dive buddy.

I wonder how do they communicate in those tight passages without intercom. Squeezing the legs? And when there is flow in a cave the force will be also very strong in those small passages I think? Adds risk when you don’t know if you will fit through a restriction. A lot of respect for Sami.
