A fact people don’t really know is that Judy didn’t win because she was becoming very difficult to work with on set. Grace was professional, kind to everyone, on time every morning to WORK, worked hard, and was very dedicated. The academy appreciated that! Yes, she grew up wealthy. But her parents didn’t believe in her as an actress. Grace Kelly had to support herself financially since she was 18 and she DID IT!

Two of my favorite actresses of all time nominated the same year!! 😱😱 I think Judy should've gotten the Oscar. She had to watch the ceremony on TV after having her third child. Every nominee did amazing though!

This was disgusting they did this to Judy! She was a splendid actress and her depth in this movie was so touching! Kelly I cannot stand as an actress, she was better compared to her usual empty self, but compared to any of the other nominees was not a deserved Oscar. Judy should have gotten this one !

Judy was in the hospital because she gave birth during the awards night. Press were there to cover in case she win (she was the frontrunner). When she's not they just leave with cold shoulder. Imagine the humiliation Judy felt that time.

Grace kelly did deserve to win that year... She made up for her lack of life experience through sheer dedication and hard work. The beauty had no less than five movies released that year, including the classic Rear Window. I give props to miss Kelly for the amazing way she played that character. Bravo to Grace kelly, the eternal princess!!!

If they really loved Garland they would have given her the award for Judgment at Nuremberg. She lost that one as well. Garland had become so difficult to work with. There was no way the academy was going to vote for her.
