As the School District of Lancaster celebrates Women's History Month and honor the remarkable women who have made a difference in our lives and our community, we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on Grace Mentzer, a dedicated police social worker with the Lancaster City Bureau of Police and an esteemed alumna of SDOL, Class of 2002.
Grace's journey is not only a testament to her commitment to service but also a beautiful tribute to the female role models who have shaped her life.
Inspired by her mother, Grace learned the true meaning of love and empathy, which she channels into her work every day. She is a tireless advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, using her voice to speak up for those who may not have a voice of their own. By focusing on the strengths of others and empowering them to use their voices, Grace is creating a more equitable and inclusive community for all.
A proud alumna of SDoL, Class of 2002, Grace has dedicated her life to serving others as a police social worker with the Lancaster City Bureau of Police. Her connection to our district runs deep, as she now has the privilege of working alongside SDOL social workers, making a positive impact on the lives of our students and families.
Grace's dedication to creating a more equitable and inclusive community is truly inspiring, and we are grateful for her unwavering commitment to uplifting others. Thank you, Grace, for your advocacy, your compassionate spirit, and your dedication to making Lancaster a better place for all.
