This is beautiful. I live in vermont and grew up on a CD of your Original Soul album and I still listen to it every once and a while. I have fond memories of waiting in the car for my mom listening to Gumbo Moon, and absolutely bubbling with the joy of every track of the album, including this one. Thank you so much, you are truly an inspiration and are one of the reason I love (and love playing) music like this.

Her singing has always been strong, but in this one you hear how she's developed the nuance to it - little edges as she finishes a note: rasps up her voice and slides the volume slowly down... you can almost feel the pain and longing yourself. Beautiful work here, Ms. Potter.
