I for one think it's pretty amazing how his family has been able to honor him in such a grand way. With the work they put into it and publicity they garner holds the public's attention. The collection is quite extensive for an extraordinary human being,flawed as a human being is inclined to do, but still extraordinary. I hope his grandchildren keep it going as well.

Thank you for sharing on KZbin. No matter how many articles, videos, blogs, etc. are made about Elvis (onstage and off) his accomplishments, along with his talents, will never truly be categorized and/or fully appreciated. I know because I lived though the majority of Elvis' life and I have spent six decades collecting anything/everything of quality, rarity, including very personal writings along with (literally) over a hundred and sixty thousand cataloged photographs and I continue to learn new things about Elvis Presley in every aspect of his life. I am an Elvis fan but I don't worship him. I just like his music, his passions, his internal compass, what he did for others, his generous heart, and the accomplishments - regrets - and failures. Elvis left behind three decades worth of entertainment and yet he often stated "when I am gone will anyone remember me"? Well, he has been and it is a shame that he truly never knew how much he was loved. Lastly, in several concerts fans called him "the King and/or King" and Elvis replied "there is but one king and that is Jesus Christ". Elvis never forgot where he came from nor should we.

Hello from England The day Elvis died was 2 days before my 12th birthday. I so remember watching his funeral on TV with my late parents and the only thing that sticks in my memory is seeing all those White Cadillac Cars behind the hearse and there must have been at least 20 of them. OMG I have been a fan ever since. Although i only knew of him in the early 70's i would have watched the Aloha from Hawaii concert in 1973 LIVE ACROSS THE WORLD VIA SATELLITE Elvis was truly "A ONE OFF" human being He SANG like NOBODY else He MOVED on STAGE like NOBODY else He had that "WIGGLE" like NOBODY else He had that "STAGE PRESENCE" like NOBODY else He wore clothes like NOBODY else. His life was short but BY GOD he crammed a lot into it. As a kid i never thought anything about his "backstory" before but i have learnt a lot since. There are a lot of "STORIES" about Elvis, 99% of them so wonderful and happy and the other 1% not so but hey Elvis was human after all and we all have our faults as Elvis had but he was such a good giving person

As for whomever it was that commented on the kitchen - you must not have grown up with Elvis. That is how it was! And we want it left just as it was when he was there. There were not granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. In fact, his refrigerator and stove were just like mine back in the '70's - and it was up-to- date then! Viva the '60's and '70's. :)

It was very difficult living at Gracelands because of his fame he never went out lived in a bubble i never had normal teenage yrs i had to adapt lived his life never had my own did the things he did. i would see the movies he wanted to see listen to the songs he wanted to listen to & go to places he wanted to visit. Everything was wat he wanted i started learning for the first time wat my life was to be like had my friends picked for me i never found my own for my own age i was friends with his buddies wives i got on with them i lived with 8 men.lived in a rigid confined environment never knew who i was elvis advised me on my clothes hair makeup most difficult was his considerations were my considerations his fears were my fears his likes my likes i was becoming him i had no identity we never divorced cos we fell out of love he was the love of my life (her words) i needed to find out wat the world was like i had lost touch with that. The greatest thing was we still loved each other we left the court house holding hands as we had in the courtroom"The judge said he thought he was conducting a Marriage not a Divorce he could see the love between us. we still love & respected each other now i look back on my life with elvis i can see wat i couldn't then i was very young so maybe had he not died i may have been able to go back to him. i never realised how leaving hurt him but it was the hardest thing i ever did i loved him and still do

In February 1972 Priscilla walked out on Elvis and moved in with Stone with whom she had been having a long affair. Stone had a young child and a pregnant wife. Stone had been working as a bodyguard for record producer Phil Spector.[7] After the show, Elvis invited Stone back to the couple's penthouse suite where Elvis suggested that Priscilla train with Stone.[8] Three weeks later Priscilla made the 45-minute drive to Stone's school in Huntington Beach. Because of the distance Priscilla opted to train with Chuck Norris who had a school in West Los Angeles, which was closer to the Presley home. Stone would make occasional trips to Norris's school to train Priscilla. The relationship soon turned romantic, contributing to Elvis and Priscilla's split in February 1972 and divorce in 1973. Stone and Priscilla would eventually split up because he sold a story to the Globe tabloid entitled "How I stole Elvis Presley's Wife From Him". Priscilla said she split with Stone then, "because he went to the press".

Why are you even commenting this? Elvis had always cheated on Priscilla for years, before, during & after their marriage. He left her alone for long periods of time and didn’t even care how any of it would make her feel. He almost never invited her on the road with him so that he could sleep with women without Priscilla being there. She was very lonely & most of the time Elvis didn’t care about that while he was out “filling his cup” nightly with different women. We all love Elvis but he was a mortal man like any other and has his vices- you can’t blame Priscilla for wanting to find someone she felt actually loved her and actually wanted a real love-relationship and marriage. She was with Elvis when she was 14 until she was almost 30 & she deserved to have a man who treated her with the love and respect any woman would want from her husband. Don’t talk or comment like that about Priscilla... she wholeheartedly loved Elvis and put up with a lot of pain because she was so blinded by love. She had his only child and never once talked horribly about him like the real life reality she lived. They definitely loved each other though but like she’s politely said before that the rock and roll lifestyle is difficult on relationships & marriages. Everyone of his Memphis mafia friends also heavily cheated. They’ve said before themselves that the only person who was married was the wives - the husbands did whatever they wanted on the road and cheated with hundreds or thousands of women for decades. Don’t be fooled. Priscilla is doing an AMAZING job for a woman who was always cheated on and she still does whatever she can to keep the good memory of Elvis alive. That’s love and that’s respect. Don’t talk about one side of things & not mention the other... I don’t blame her at all for being sick of many things and falling in love with a man who showed up for HER, was kind and loving to HER & wooed HER as opposed to Elvis who took her for granted. We all LOVE Elvis - I can’t say that enough because we all really do - but don’t negate the truth just because you want to say a weird comment on a video that also proves how far Priscilla goes to keep her one and only Ex-husbands memory alive. Also, have some respect for Lisa Marie- that’s her mother you’re talking about. Assholes like you are so annoying. If you know Elvis then you know the story - so stop talking like that about Priscilla!
@brianmoran5793 жыл бұрын
@@evearcana2392 She was with Elvis from 17 to 26 and they split in 1971. What kind of woman dates a married man with a pregnant wife? Priscilla was in a long term relationship with Marco Garibaldi for 22 years and they had a son. Why she continue to use Presley name? After the divorced she was forbidden to use the name Presley for a career name in the entertainment business!
@evearcana23923 жыл бұрын
@@brianmoran579 How can you use the last name of a man whom you never married? I mean lots of your questions are just common sense answers really. She also always could use the Presley name- plus even if she didn’t, she is still a star in her own right and would be known by any last name. She’s been in movies, tv shows and is an author- do you really think the name “Presley” is needed for her? She also had her son over a decade after being with Elvis and having Lisa Marie- she was already established as an actress by her name & why change it then because she had a son with a man who wasn’t her husband? Also, I would think Mike Stone would be blamed for -leaving his pregnant wife and child. Priscilla had no loyalty to the wife and who knows what Mike even said to Priscilla at that time while wooing her? Maybe she didn’t even know about his wife being pregnant? Maybe they were both looking to leave their unhappy marriages? That’s on Mike though because he’s the one that left his family like that.

Actually the house was remodeled in 1974; Bill Eubanks helped with the TV room and pool room, using 400 yards of material for the walls and ceiling and furnishing. The stain glass there and peacocks divider between music room and living room were made by Leakhuff Stained Glass; the Jungle Room furniture was bought by Elvis 1974; the kitchen which had been remodeled by Vernon as a wedding present in 1968 was also redone. The Italian cut glass chandelier in the dinning room was also added in 1974. The original home was decorated by Gladys. One problem with Vernon's second wife Dee and Elvis was she wanted to change Graceland, so he bought them a house and moved them out of Graceland. The last Presley to live their was his aunt Delta who died in 1996. How much Priscilla decorated I don't know. She did decorate the home in LA. When she decorated to open Graceland she put the living room furniture back to what it was when she lived there. I don't know if it were her décor or Gladys. The racket ball court, meditation garden were all after her divorce. Actually the Meditation garden was opened to the public in 1978. Elvis had planned on opening up part of the home before he died. So it was not a new idea at all. Google these things and learn the truth not the PR that Priscilla keeps fantasizing about. Just saying.

Violet Eubank ... I'm glad Priscilla put it back to the way it was when she was there. Linda and Elvis did the red and it was so hard & harsh to look at. Blue is much nicer.

She calls Elvis a "Living legend" at about the 6:00 minute mark. I know Elvis died August 16, 1977 but that was a big mistake Pricilla. It just adds fuel to the Elvis is alive rumors.

When and how did madamn bouillion became a co-executor of Elvis' estate? It's not in Elvis' Last Will and Testament.
@caseyluvs9 жыл бұрын
She became it because Lisa was to little after Vernon died. Now Lisa is in charge but her mother remains on the board bc Lisa wants her there.

+caseyluvs okay, that's what i think so too being her mom. but why keep the presley name?
@caseyluvs9 жыл бұрын
+Georgia Morena She was married to him. I kept my married name after my divorce....for my children. She did earn it being his wife and yes I know they got divorced but obviously it didn't bother elvis while he was alive so why should it bother us? No matter how any haters feel about her elvis loved her so so much and asked her back a few months before he died. She is not money hungry or trying to be famous on his name. She is simply living her life. She made sure for Lisa Marie that she had an inheritance and an estate to inherit. When she received control of Graceland there was 500,000 dollars left and she was told you have two options...sell it or auction it to the state. She refused and chose to open it for the public bc it isn't right that the daughter of elvis Presley should inherit nothing after the legend he was and it wasn't right that Graceland should be someone else's house after elvis lived in it for 20 years. She is owed a lot of credit for keeping his flame burning..

I love Priscilla and I respect the hell out of her for refusing to believe that elvis would be forgotten like so many told her before she opened it up. She knew he had the fan base and she knew he deserved to be remembered. All of that money is Lisa's. Not hers. So many think she receives this huge paycheck constantly to this day for elvis. She doesn't. Lisa does

+Georgia Morena When Vernon died she took over because she was guardian of LMP who was in the will. The estate was worth 5 mil and was losing money and she knew that something must be done or LMP would have nothing. She got expert advice and help. She formed EPE and built the estate up. LMP who almost fell asleep in meetings and did not get involved in the business is ls lucky her mom took hold and grew the amount the estate is worth In 2004, LMP kept Graceland but sold 85 percent...the bulk of the Elvis estate, including rights to her father’s name and image, in a deal worth approximately $100 million. Not bad for a girl that did not even graduate from high school.

Pricilla,FYI your last name is NOT Presley.Didn't you get the memo about your divorce from him??
@charleswheeler33956 жыл бұрын
Just so you will know, under law a woman can retain the last name of her prior husband unless she is remarried. I know this because my ex-wife retained my last name for years legally.

Listen vern. Women can keep their married name after divorce. After all, she had that name legally for 6 yrs. Your comment shows your prejudice against women.
