Absolutely correct. KZ Tandingan of the Philippines, singer-rapper may have been inspired of Judy "over the rainbow" that KZ performed during the first season of X-Factor Philippines Audition in 2012. The Garland cover sang in soulful vibes not only made the piece impactful, but also captivating on the hearts of thousands of spectators onstage, and also wowed the judges. After winning, KZ was catapulted to national prominence, and on to global stage joining the Singer 2018. Her covers are re-invented Android runs that features all-genres rap superfast into one masterpiece sang in melodramatic start to fiery big bang. The Garland song may had such a profound and magical influenced on global stage most particularly the Philippines which is heavily influenced by Hollywood after World War II. The Karaoke made the Filipinos culturally attached to American music, and had become not only the winners of international beauty pageants, but also the greatest singers on earth blazing global singing platforms from northern hemisphere to global south. In it likely had Filipino participants. Hope the Americans may like KZ sang her pieces the Garland way - soulful, magical and captivating to the hearts of netizens across the planet.

For me Two of the greatest singers who God took into his bosom way too early were Judy Garland and Karen Carpenter. When they sang, their emotions and feelings could be seen on their face, but especially in the eyes. Both were tortured and in pain through their entire lives, searching for love and peace and finally found it in God’s arms. Rest in peace both of you.

Music is subjective. KZbin is replete with people claiming their favourite artist to be 'the greatest ever'. Well they're only right if only claiming it to be a persional opinion in regard to who they think is the greatest. To claim it to be an irrefutable truth is merely arrogant. If people claim the same thing for a myriad of different artists then who's right? I love her voice but, to me at least, this isn't the definitive version. But has I said mine is only an opinion, as is yours. Like what you like. Others can agree or disagree.

I come to this song when I need an uplift. Judy was my friend as a child as I waited every year for the Wizard of Oz to come onto to CBS. Judy was my confident as I whispered my troubles as a teen, though she was already gone. And now at 56 years old, I still shed a tear when I hear her sing. She brought and still brings joy to this old man. I have missed her since June of 1969 when Heaven got the greatest singer on its side. One day Judy, I will sit and listen to you face to face.... She fought for everything for her children, for her own existence and eventually for true love. ❤️❤️ I just find her to be for me at this point in my life my true inspiration of what we should all aspire to be, fearless strong and never falter 🙏❤️🙏 rip Judy you gave it your all ❤️🙏❤️

I loved Judy Garland so much and I remember hearing a radio program back in the 60's I think I was little. Maybe 2nd or third grade. I was visiting my Grandparents who lived in Chicago. The radio program of Judy singing was amazing. My Grandmother was telling me why she sang on the radio what a hard time Judy was having. It kind of broke my heart to know she was so troubled and I prayed for her cause she was the over the rainbow girl and I didn't want her to be so sad.

One of the most beautiful songs ever. I love Elvis's version too, equally moving. She lived her lyrics. She was a national/world treasure. Her sweetness and passion we're pure, unpretentious and soulful. Her sweetness and passion we're pure, unpretentious and soulful. She was obviously victimized and misused by the heartless studios, but they still couldn't break or stop her from shining because she was adored by her peers and public and she still is ! God bless and rest her soul. May she be singing and flying freely always. True example of actual American excellence.

One of the 10 Best SINGERS in modern history, male or female, any genre. And you have to know what it means to be a SINGER to understand that statement. She was a SINGER. (Yeah, actress, dancer, comedienne, and vaudevillian, too). She never sang from her head. Never sang through her nose. From the soul somewhere in her chest up through her bird-like gorge and out her mouth. A thrush. A lark. As born to sing as a bird. Rare bird.

Judy is the greatest talent of all time. There was nothing she could do. Singing, live performances, Acting comedy or drama. And she was a pretty good dancer as well. She had a mesmerizing aura about her that drew most people to watch her rather than the people she was performing with. She stole more scenes than you could shake a stick at. Not because she was trying to, because it was a God given gift. She was big time movie box office, she did the impossible, when she reopened the Palace Theater in New York to vaudeville. And it stayed open for about 15 or 16 years. They said it couldn't be done, but, she did it. Two Oscar nominations, which should have been 3 according to Spenser Tracy. And she lost them both. Which I believed was fixed. Grace Kelly really! THE GREATEST TALENT THAT (EVER) LIVED. Sorry I'm so long winded. But, I speak the truth.
