Graco Slimfit 3 LX Review

I give my honest opinion on our experience with the Graco Slimfit 3LX. Let me know in the comments what experiences you've had with this.
UPDATE ON BOTTOM BUCKLE: Removing the first padding and moving the buckle one notch up seems to do the trick. There's actually not much of a length difference between the two buckles.

Great review. I like this seat because of it's compact size also but ended up returning it because the chest clip is annoying to unlatch. I couldn't stand struggling to unclip our toddler everyday.

Completely agree about the bottom buckle. Even with removing the insert the issue remains. I found that as the child gets older the buckle works fine, but it’s irritating.

Just bought this. What worries me, is that no matter how tight you pull the seatbelt when installing rear facing, you can still push the seat back towards the main seat back. Should have a anti rebound bar.

Did you figure out the install?? We seem to be having the same problem. We are used to having a seat belt lock off and those seats don’t budge.

I absolutely agree with you. There is way too much bounce compared to other models

I bought this and the Extend2fit today to check them at home. Planing on return one. We are also considering which one would be better for plane traveling, which I think it will be the slimfit, because in a plane 3 inches counts. Also I like the cooler fabric for Los Angeles weather.

If you take the bottom infant pad out it would give her extra room for her thighs. They make it removable same as the head rest for when your child outgrows the smaller settings.

@@DadTalk Sometimes graco has another buckle that will be acceptable. If you call them they may be able to get a different one!

@@DadTalk We recently bought this seat and had to do the same thing. We removed the infant support pad and move the buckle to the second slot. we are worried that our 8 month old might outgrow this sooner than we expected. With the changes that you made (in your description), would you say that your daughter is comfortable in this seat and that you see that she will be able to comfortably use it for many years to come?

@@santabell2339 yes, it’s been the perfect fix. She still uses this car seat at 18 months old. We are a little worried though because she was just diagnosed with Developmental Dysplasia of the hip and will most likely need surgery. We’re worried about car seats in general now since she will be in a cast for a good 12 weeks if she does get surgery

If you take out the infant Insert, I think her thighs will be fine! Otherwise I’m concerned about my chunky babies thighs! Lol

This car seat ended up being our favorite after adjusting some of the straps and pad! Our little one is now 2 and still fits very well. I recommend doing a thorough adjustment before installing it to make it easy to get baby in and out
