I’m glad he has this figured out and I commend him and all you who are now clear on this process. Personally I think this is ridiculously complicated and I imagine way too many infants are riding around not safely secured due to straps that are too loose to help in an accident and might possibly cause injury. I got a headache just watching him go through this procedure.

True Story: My wife and I are at the hospital two days ago, ready to leave with our newborn and we've got the car seat ready to go but the straps are too slack, I'm freaking out, can't figure it out at all, we punch up the internet on the hospital monitor and find YOUR video, and within a moment I see EXACTLY what was wrong - we would not have been allowed to leave the hospital that night if I had not found your vid. Omg so helpful! My son is only 17 lbs and we were like why don't the straps adjust if it's a carseat for up to 35lbs ..we were about to buy a whole new ass carseat 😂😂😂

My son,s baby boy has outgrown his car seat already he his only 7 months but big, we have two craco child seats one in each car,it was supposed to last him until he was two years? but there is no more adjustment, what is the best buy for a bigger baby? Thank You. :)

One thing I would like to add: to loosen the harness shoulder straps there is a button to press UNDER the car seat cover (but in the top) in the 'in between thighs' area. That button/ lever needs to be pressed before the shoulder straps loosen!!! It took me a good 30 minutes to figure it out! :) If you look closely you can see him press the button as he is loosening the harness... :p

@MsAfriquebonne your welcome, remember that the harness straps should be coming from the slot right at the child's shoulder or below, but never from above.

My daughter is almost 20 months old. She is in a convertible car seat (Rear facing) but the shoulder strap is on the #2 spot but it go's 1+ inch Below her shoulder, the next one up(#3 spot) is an inch above her shoulder....I don't feel its safe to have her strap so low behind/below her shoulder. Please help

Awful video. He skips over the hardest thing to figure out which is loosening the shoulder straps. He just does it at the very start without making any commentary or instruction. Should remove video and redo it. Anyway, pull over the car seat cover and look for the metal latch,push down to loosen the teeth of the latch and pull the shoulder strap to loosen. (Thumbs down).
