Fits perfectly rear-facing in our truck, which has a slightly smaller back seats. kzbin.infoUgkx6_FKRYB2ClSPRyjcd8HptiCS3EiQoNX4 Feels as comfy and plush as our Graco Contender carseat.

So helpful. Thank you for posting this informative and instructive video. Before searching youtube for help I did exactly what you show in your video yet for some reason I couldn’t get the seat belt to cinch tight as you did in the video. Anyway, thanks again. Great help.

Do you also need to engage the locking mechanism on the car's seat belt (i.e, pull the shoulder belt slowly out and then heat the ratchet sound as it goes back in to lock the car's seat belt) as well or that is redundant with this car seat?
@thecarseatlady16 жыл бұрын
Because the SnugLock arm is also a seat belt locking device you do not need to engage the seat belt's own locking mechanism, but you may choose to do so as the very final step in the installation process to prevent the child from playing with the shoulder belt.

We have a 4 ever 1 Graco car seat Our toddler is 2 years old and we recently bought a crew cab GMC Sierra truck. Since our 2 older boys are 10 and 12, we would prefer the toddler in the center. No matter how hard we try we cannot get the car seat secured tightly enough with the seat belt and tether. We have the seat belt in locking position everything. I have put my 200lbs in the seat pushing with my knees while my wife tries to tug at the belt, but we can still sway the seat left right and forward. We are considering changing car seats. Can you help? Thank you!

You have this seat listed on your website as one of the models that has a Euro belt path for baseless installation, but I can find no supporting information for this on KZbin, on Graco's website, or in ANY of the SnugLock owners manuals. Did Graco JUST recently change the design and not update the site yet? Or was this mistakenly listed as a carrier with a Euro belt path?
@thecarseatlady17 жыл бұрын
All SnugLock manuals include instructions that allow the European belt path. See page 42 here - s7d2.scene7.com/is/content/Newellsync/DTC/Graco/Product%20Manuals/PD349631A%20SnugRideSL35%208AZ25.pdf - the 3rd image on page 42 shows the european belt path (they call it routing the shoulder belt behind the seat)

The Car Seat Lady So there's no actual clip or similar apparatus to hold the shoulder belt? And the other issue, the sides of the seat are so low that when trying to install the seat without the base with a baby much more 6 months old or so, the lap belt actually presses into the baby's belly. I tried smaller/skinnier babies into our SnugRide ClickConnect40 and even they had the same issue. This can't possibly be safe. I know it was an issue when modifying the shell of the SnugRide ClickConnect to make the SnugRide iSize for Europe as they raised the sides of the seat so that the belt doesn't cause this issue. I NEVER had that issue with their ClassicConnect seats. I was honestly disappointed in Graco for discontinuing the Infant SafeSeat/SnugRide ClassicConnect 32/35 (used it for all of my kids now 12, 9, and 2 years old), and even more disappointed after getting the ClickConnect40 for an unbelievable $22(!) brand new from Amazon via eBay when my 2 year old was 11 months old. Anyways, do you recommend that Graco's new seats not be used without the base if the baby's belly protrudes enough to touch the lap belt?

There is no clip to hold the shoulder belt in back on this seat. I have not found that the lap belt contacts the child's belly when I have installed this without the base with infants and early toddlers of various sizes.

Do you know if you can interchange the bases with with other non elite models of the snuglock line of seats?
@thecarseatlady16 жыл бұрын
Please call Graco to discuss which bases and carriers are interchangeable as it can get very confusing. All SnugLock carriers can go into all SnugLock bases. The maximum weight limit goes by the carrier you use (the max weight limit on that carrier) not by the base as sometimes they can have differing weight limits.

The Car Seat Lady I have the snugride snuglock 35 I just like the features more on this base I know that each of the snuglock 35 seats all go to 35lb 32 inches I was just wondering if the bases can be switched if I buy another base as the seat I have has the basic snuglock base.

There are two methods, the latch or seatbelt. You should only use one method, not both!

Thanks! From a daddy. I'm an industrial electrician, so I got out my level. Folks, if you are worrying about getting this bubble - level perfectly leveled on the green and blue lines Graco drew on, don't worry all to much. You must check the level/grade of ground first. (your garage or where you install this seat.) My garage floor wasn't perfectly level to the Earth. So my car seat won't be perfectly leveled true either. If your garage floor is showing a bubble on a level a tiny bit off to the right, then you want to match the bubble on the graco car seat's built in level to the ground' S level. Bubble off a bit right on the garage floor, car seats bubble should be off the same amount to the right and that = level.

Im confused as well cause the bubble changes when you put weight on the base... Does the bubble need to stay the same? Whenever i click in the car seat + baby the bubble moves.... do you only make sure the bubble is on the right level even though it doesn't have the car seat and baby's weight? Does my question make sense?
@thecarseatlady14 жыл бұрын
@@cosmicbugaloo7659 If the bubble changes when you put weight on the base, the base might not be installed as tightly as it should be - as a tightly installed base will have compressed much of the vehicle's seat cushion and not leave a lot remaining to compress when the carrier's weight is added.
