You have an eye for detail that not only completes a good job for the customer, it also satisfies your need to complete the job to your own exacting standards, which means in reality you will never be short of further contracts as long as you are in control. Thanks for the video.

Four feet is about right for a 12 inch pipe if you want to compact it. That gives you 18 inches either side of the pipe for the wacker packer. Last time I did that was on a 150 ton coal mine haul road and I was only allowed to raise the level 8 inches each layer before a soil tester gave us the ok for 98% compaction. What a pain but I bet that trench never settled. With your trench being that shallow it was probably still like using a wacker packer on a trampoline directly over the pipe back at ground level. Your videos are great for reminiscing without having to get dirty.

Tigerback 64 most equipment they just aim it away from the cab to reduce noice and keep fumes away. In a dozer that means forward, skid steers and excavators is backwards, and in most tractors are to the side

Looks so shallow! shallow ponds are a pain to maintain. Once weeds and algae set in, can get over 8" of sediment a year slowly filling it in. That's been my experience, you can combat this with aeration or costly chemicals. From what I've learned over the years dealing with ponds 60% of the pond should be atleast 12' 15' is ideal.

There are a lot of variables, but if all your conditions are the same as this project, you're looking at about $40-50k after mobilization, labor, equipment, CBMPs and final stabilization. This assumes no haul off, permits, inspections, etc

Going to be a great little pond but I feel for the owner at tax time. Here in my county in Ga. if you drive so much as a nail the county tax folks are there to document it. Any improvments to property are promptly reported to the county by nosy jelous neighbors. It has gotten that bad. Now if he were to put some cows in and make it ag related he might actually get a break. But I guess if he can afford a pond he can swing the taxes.......... Sorry for the little rant. County folks were around this week snooping again.

No disrespect .. But I have many .. Whatever's ! .. I guess I was upset years ago working on a 20 million dollar home on 40 acres and they built a 2 acre pond .. Had spawning beds on the bottom and my task on this project was to build a ramp and deck 2 inches above the . Hopeful to be waterline by lasering in the spill way .. I should have calculated it wrong !! .. The tycoon .. When I asked .. how do you intend to fill it .. " Drain the aquifer " .. So locals with wells go dry ?? So you have a place for your brats to splash their feet once a year and the fish have better beds than me .. I would like to know the cost ??
