I love the way you graded and fit these trousers. I will be trying this!😊

the more I look at the pleats, the less I want to sew these pants... I'm going to wait and see yours. Thanks Saremy, this is very helpful!

Really? I love the pleat! And it’s pretty clever how you sew it. Plus it’s nice and flat.

Thank you so much for this video. I'm grading between a 16 waist and 12 hip, so your tips are so valuable. I'm going to try your alternate method. Like you, I also prefer a more fitted style of pants, but I really want the experience of sewing this pattern. Thanks again!

I’m so glad it helped! I ended up using the 16 waist and they’re plenty loose. My waist was in between the 16-18. I think it’s good to err on the slightly larger side because the belt cinches it in and it keeps the pleat relaxed.

Thank you for sharing your alternate method for grading the front so as not to interfere with the pleat. I really like the fit of your muslin. I plan to watch the other videos once I get my pattern printed.

This is so useful! I've just done my measurements and have the same type of hip to waist grading to do and watching you demo on the smaller paper made it make sense for me! Thank you :)

I’m so glad! I like using the small pieces but I admit I worry it doesn’t seem realistic. Or it could be hard to imagine.

Thank you for this video! I have the same adjustments to make for my Mitchells, so I followed along on all the adjustments!

Also would LOVE to see a Mica Dress review. It’s part of their Crew collection.

I’m sure someone must have a review of them! I’m not a crew member so I don’t have the pattern.

I knew what acid washed jeans you meant before you showed it. My friend said the position of the pleat is "too far over" she thought they should be closer to the mid line. Still fitting to find the perfect fit.

These pants look awesome on you. You did a fantastic job. I don't think there is any alteration in the world that could make these pants look good on me. I'm afraid I would look 2 ft tall by 2 ft wide. Lol I was struck by the comment you made about choosing a pattern because you like the way it looks on a model and I realize that when I see old pictures of myself with different hair than I have now I'm tempted to go get my haircut like that again and then I realize no it's not the hair I want. It's the face from 10 years ago that I want. I remember wearing pleated acid wash jeans back in the '80s and what made it even worse. I paired them with red low heel pumps.

I’m all for ‘wear whatever you want!’ But sometimes I know I don’t like how I look in something. And then it distracts me and I can’t wear it.

I am on the fence with these pants, I look forward to your version. I am not sold on the pleat and the width of these pants. I may change my mind once I see your finished version.

We’ve been wearing close fit pants for years! It’s hard to change. At least that’s where I’m at. But the more I think about them and now that I’m using a drapey linen I’m pretty excited about them!

Thanks for this. Although my sizing is a bit different I have similar hip tilt and hourglass figure so I really wanted to see you size these. I like them but fear the pleat/ stomach issue. Notice, even on their lovely models Closet Core has mostly angled- sideways photos. I can't wait to see your pair!

Do you have Instagram? I posted photos after I finished these! Plus I think I tried them on at the end of the sewing part two video. (I may have also posted them on the KZbin community tab). I love them!

I'm looking at making these pants as Closet Core seem to draft for my body. I'm assuming they would say on the pattern where the crotch is meant to sit but in terms of lengthening, everybody is different. My length is in the crotch however Closet core in there 14-32 size range see to cover that nicely for me. I have also been known to not have to lengthen in the actual leg either. When it comes to width I have to do the opposite and start with the smaller size at the waist and grade out to the hip and I leave the crotch length at the larger size.
