2:33:44 Secure waist band with stitch in the ditch
2:38:25 A little hand sewing and needle threading tip
Hem your trousers! I turned mine 1.5” twice and edgestitched (3” hem allowance)
Button and buttonhole on waist above zipper and on inner shield to facing.

I just sewed my first toile (a bit tight, but I like zero ease at my waist, I think the next size up will be a bit big??) ...don't really want to do another toile but I feel like it's the right thing to do 😭 it was nice sewing along with you because it felt like I had a sewing buddy. I will be sure to watch this again for each toile and hopefully the final pant 🤣🥰

Have you considered grading between sizes for the waist to the hip? If you only add the bit you need maybe you skip a second toile. And I made a video about how to do that for this pair of pants. I think it’s linked in the description. Also! Can’t wait to see them!

I have so much tummy fluff! What I like is that they hang straight down. I’m having trouble finding a shirt enough shirt to wear with them if I want the waist to show though. I bet your daughter will love them’

I love your napkin trick. The fastest way I have found to secure serger thread is to use a small latch tool. thread it an inch or two toward the ends through the stitches. Catch the ends, close the latch and pull it through. Be sure to leave a 3-4 inch tail when your done sewing and don't untwist the ends.

I know that trick! I may not use it but I know it. I have a couple I use but mostly I like securing them since it quick.

These came out so great. I'm still on the fence - I wonder if I could add belt loops and sneak some elastic in the back. But the belt would overlap the side adjustment. 🤔

The belt is optional. You can add belt loops instead- I think a belt would be cute! No elastic needed then.
