It's with great sadness that I fully expect not to see anything nearly this majestic for at least another decade... Thank you, Pope Benedict. You will not be forgotten.

Yes it is sad that Pope Benedict is no longer there to promote and support the return of the beautiful E.F liturgy around the world. It is clear that young are being drawn to this experience - not because it’s novel, but because its real and substantial. It is also apparent that Pope Francis won't follow Benedict's lead, for he seems to lack real understanding of Catholic culture and the purpose of the liturgy. However, enough young laity and young Priests are being touched by the traditional liturgy, with its beautiful Gregorian chant, like the Gradual used above, that they are changing back to the E.F. The E.F is a true "liturgical work of God", and it's winning out amongst the young and in the seminaries. It’s a no-brainer really, as the E.F is supplanting the N.O where it matters most; in the seminaries. So fear not Jonathon, we will eventually see a return to Rome of the E.F in all its glory. And the internet is playing a big part in helping this process to. God's writes straight, with a crooked line. So we just have to wait and let the Holy Ghost do His work: for only He can lead to a recovery of the sacred and aesthetic in the Church.
