I'm a Rangers fan and as a young boy I admired Graeme Sharp from a distance via my television. Graeme was a top notch striker in a brilliant Everton team.

Graeme was a brilliant striker in the most successful EFC team of all time. For some reason he doesn't get talked about the way he deserves to be, so I'm glad to see this excellent video about him.

I think it is because although a good player and did a good job for Everton,he never really did it in the vital/important games in 6 finals he scored just 1 goal against Watford and missed a sitter near the end at forest a few days before the fateful Oxford game which he went missing in also,if he scores that at forest we are champions!

My favourite Everton Player, remember watching him from the Paddock. Great Centre Forward and very unselfish, he'd be worth a fortune in todays money. We've had no one like him since.

Graeme has brought me very very good times as an Everton fan he has brought wonderful joy to me and my son, my wife and daughter support Man -Utd , I know what you`re thinking but it sometimes happens. Graeme has made me scream with joy and love Everton FC Football Club. He is still working for Everton and rightly so as he will always be an Everton legend. Everton fans are not manufactured but born. I loved this upload....................

Especially that goal in 84 against Liverpool at Anfield.A brilliant player who should have won more caps for Scotland. That was some partnership with him and Andy Gray.

Graeme Sharp, a great centre-forward in the long line of magnificent number 9's in the history of Everton! 🤗 Sharp, as well as a superb header of the ball, was also a very good all-round footballer. Scored goals and created opportunities for others. Led the line brilliantly during Everton's "Golden Years". A true Toffees legend!

My favourite Sharp moment was at The Dell against Southampton in 1987. We won four nil and Sharp got all four. Then there was that volley against Spurs.

I saw him score a great goal after a mazy run through the middle of the QPR defence on the plastic pitch at Loftus Rd in January '87. Never seen it since. Don't think the TV cameras were there to record it.

Some great goals there from a top striker, might have lacked a bit of pace but his intelligence and eye for goal were top drawer. Pick of those goals the 25 yarder against you know who at you know where.

It makes me sad watching these clips just glad I witnessed football in the glory days , Sharpy was one of the best strikers in Europe in his day , it also proves the quality strikers Scotland had in those days , Andy Gray, Ally Mccoist, Mo Johnston, Charlie Nicholas, Frank macavennie, Kenny Dalglish, Alan Mcinally , football was great in those days No ridiculous wage packets but good enough to have a great life , players like Zico & Maradona earned the big bucks and deservedly so but your average players earned what a professional tradesman would earn which is fine and how it should be , no one needs 500,000 a week no one.

When I was starting to like Everton in 1985 for this guy and Kevin Sheedy, the Haysel tragedy happened, so their right to play at European Cup was denied, not only once, but twice.

Arsenal and Liverpool also won titles during the ban so they also missed out on the chance too

In other video, I saw he did all the best he could do to beat Bruce Grobbelaar : with half volley, close range header, long range header, lob, but the eccentric Liverpool GK denied those all.

Yeah I seem to remember Scotland switching the partnership upfront almost every game back then due to having several decent strikers at the time. Shame they didn`t give Sharp a long run in the team it should have been him upfront with one other.

Sharpy scored a goal on average every two and a half games. Lately we have been lumbered with the likes of Rondon and then the superstar Neal Maupay who gave us one goal in more than 30 games. This is all thanks to the incompetence of many boards of directors over the years.😢

Wonder Old Firm ever tried sign Sharpe Many inc Legends made journey North & South to don Famous Blue Gough,Duncan Ferguson,Gazza also Trevor Steven ,Stevens Woods,Arteta,McCall,Mo Johnston,Naismith, Ball,Weir,Cleland,Jelovic, Durrant(trial )Jeffers , Walter Smith,Archie Knox & Andy Gray (got play boyhood team at end career) Seems Rangers have exc relationship with Everton & new Ibrox Legend Steven Gerrard from bitter rivals Liverpool . Both Cities very similar helped players settle Duncan Ferguson proof in relationships Walter Smith no doubt had big influence Dunc going Everton Initially he was to return but we understood why Everton for Duncan, cities being so similar ,passionate fans so Sharpy Scottish int would’ve settled & no brainier if Old Firm looked sign him BUT did Old Firm try .
