England have faced top 10 opposition on 24 occasions and we have only won 4 of those games, that is a shocking stat considering the players we have. It also means it's highly likely we lose to the first good team we encounter! Southgate likes to play with players he knows and trusts but come on, are we going to be playing Maguire when he's 40? The England manager should be able to adapt, we have some quality players like Tomori, Dunk, Braithwaite to name a few, all of which are first team choices for to teams. Also for a manager who clearly doesn't like risk, to then play Maguire, a player who at any second can do something ridiculous and lose us the game, seems like the most stupid idea ever! Southgate didn't seem to have any tactics other than try to see the game out to penalties and maybe steal a hotel in the process! And if we do get that goal we week go ultra defensive. The gut had had many changes, the stats should tell everything they need to know about his ability!
