Ha ha ha...remember...bike is about 125 lbs...so walking that up a steep hill....makes you huff and puff. My trainer friends say the true test is recovery....I recover fast. :) BUT....before I lost weight....that ride would NEVER happen....

It's getting cold...went for a 50km ride couple days ago in 5C weather and it was pushing it with the gear I had...I did get some cold weather bike gear though, it just arrived...heated gloves, windshield, hand guards, face mask, and ski goggles. And some waterproof backpack covers for all the batteries and electronics. Hopefully I can ebike all winter long! The range definitely suffered a bit though, I am guessing around 15-20% or so. Deep winter is gonna be even worse. My normal trip to town and back is gonna be cutting it close without a mid ride charge.

I think they did that for fear of people hurting themselves taking off.....because as you know...once she hits around 12 mph...she goes fast! Lyric told me they are working on an upgraded controller that will give a faster launch....but they still need to make it safe...so it is in research and development. Thank you for the support! Bruce, do you have any ideas on when Lyric may upgrade the low end? I'm assuming this video was done sometime this fall? Should I wait a bit to buy this bike for the low end upgrade? Thanks! Jim R.

The owner told me that they are working on a new controller program for more off the line quickness...no idea when. BUT....even if you order now...I think it will be 3 months before delivery. So, if they are going to get it done at all....it should be by then. The bike has a gentle take-off (too gentle for me) but it has speed and torque for paved surfaces. It has raced up every steep hill faster and easier than my GOAT. It was comparable to the GOAT on the Fire Tower Climb. It is just a little slower than the GOAT to about 12 mph....then it becomes a rocket ship and pushes me back on the seat...much faster than the GOAT from 12 mph on.....

Torque is king, personally I don't care too much about top speed as in my hometown I rarely get to go much above 35 mph anyway.. But my e-build (1500w 52v20ah with shunt modded 40a controller) gets to 20/25 mph almost instantly then onto it's top speed of 39 mph... It helps that I put the kit on a lightweight 26" Scott mountain bike, I love it as it's so much fun to ride and has the perfect balance of torque and acceleration. But for me it's the torque and rapid acceleration that make it so much fun. I agree about the e-cells e-bikes they look like a tonne of fun, same goes for the 'wired' ebike too.. I think if I had to choose between the two it might be a tough decision 🤔 Stay safe and all the best fellow e-biker! 👍⚡🚲

YES....but even those bikes will have a hard time. The X...is not for tough off roading....gentle trails no problem...she does not have enough low end torque for this task. I recommend an AWD....I have a Fabulous Road Warrior 60V AWD....I may try her on this trail. AND I am thinking of buying another Fabulous Ebikes (Furious EBikes is the "American" line). I like them because same price range; free shipping and no tax; and they use better components. For example...Acera Gears..... Thank you for Watching, Liking and Sharing.

@@MickyBee73 ...I like top speed....not as much torque. I did this to demonstrate to everyone....but not as much fun as smooth surface riding....I am old and my joints hate all of the bouncing. NO BELLS...you would have traveled across the pond to beat me if I had bells on.....ha ha ha. Get a Fabulous Ebike......better than Ecells and Wired
