This is all good except for one big mistake. You repeatedly say that under the old covenant it was only ethnic Israel who could be 'saved' but this is not true. God repeatedly includes believing Gentiles into the covenant family, I particularly like Caleb who, though representing Judah, was ethnically of the Kenites. Also in Isaiah God speaks to the foreigners and Eunuchs who keep His Sabbaths and says he will give them a name better than that of sons and daughters. (56:1-7). God's house was always meant to be a house of prayer for all nations. He didn't change His mind about that with Jesus. The Jews however, completely missed that truth which was there all along and Paul did need to correct them!

Out of curiosity, I watched a couple of your videos. Respectfully… good job! However, I would ask you to elaborate on a couple key points. 1. For me to buy in, you would have to answer Matt 5:17. I find it impossible to be believe that Paul, an elite scholar and theologian would contradict Messiah. 2. Paul referred to several laws in Romans. The law of sin. The law of sin and death, the mosaic law… isn’t it possible Paul is speaking about either of the first two laws and not the mosaic law? After my own study - I cannot find any scripture outside of Paul where there is so much confusion. I’ve gone deep too. Exploring the different styles of Rabbinical thought that Paul implored to make his points. And I still come away believing Paul would not teach something that directly conflicts with what Yeshua taught.

Great post Jason, I’ve been digging into the same issue for years on Matt 5:17 and Paul’s teachings… what I’ve found is Peter, Stephen, Paul, James, and Jude all teach salvation by faith that is then followed by obedience to the commands. Stephen’s matrydom was literally rooting on the fact that lies were told that he was teaching against the law… so if these are clearly stated as false testimonies then by deduction he was clearly teaching obedience, and Jude is Jesus’s brother… what I find is Jesus and his disciples time and time again teaching obedience to Gods commands, and at the same time teaching the removal of man’s traditions (Judaism) It’s become crystal to me and I cannot find anything in the Bible teaching ANYTHING different.
@TheBiblicalRoots

Thanks, Jason. These are great questions which I have had to wrestle with myself. In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus said, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them” (Matt. 5:17). And He added, “For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished” (v. 18). Some read this as an end-times or second coming statement. But the problem with that interpretation is that much more than and iota or dot of the law has _already passed away!_ Here’s one example: The Law of Moses required continual, repeated animal sacrifices to atone for sin (Lev 16). But because of the sacrifice of Jesus, Hebrews 10:18 says, “there is no longer any offering for sin.” Why? Because Christ was our atoning sacrifice, literally “once for all” (Heb. 10:10). But here’s the thing: These and other Old Covenant laws didn't pass away because they were abolished or thrown out like an old pair of shoes! No, it's because they were fulfilled-they had served their God-ordained purpose and came to an end because of the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus (Gal. 3:23-25). Let me put it another way. I teach and believe that obedience is God’s “love language.” Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15). And I'm sure you would agree that not every command that God has given applies to every person at all times. Some of His commands only apply to certain people (i.e., men, women, parents, Levitical priests) or for certain times (i.e., building an ark, gathering manna, while in exile). And I'm sure you would also agree that we are each only expected to keep the commands of God that apply to us. The NT expressly teaches that many of the commands given under the Old Covenant Law do not apply to Christians today. (ex. The repeated blood sacrifices for sin I mentioned above.) We still serve God and obey His commands, “But now we are released from the law, having died with Christ to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code” (Rom 7:6). So if we want to put a classification of "law" on it, Christians follow the Law of Christ. Blessings, Rob

This is wrong. You take something stated as a negative implication and then pretend that the text affirms the reverse positive of it which is untrue. "We were alienated from the commonwealth of Israel" as it was the only place to come to the knowledge of The True God and we were unclean (unless you became a Proselyte. That is no longer the case in Christ. Now Gentiles come to and share the knowledge of Christ without conforming to Israel's laws. Acts 15 literally could not possibly make this any more clear. It's not even possible. There is no way, whatsoever, to get out of the fact that the ONLY Israeli "laws" laid upon Christians as a sort of binding Tradition were "abstain from things contaminated by idols and from sexual immorality and from what is strangled and from blood." Not only do you not need to be circumcised, let alone do all of the various feasts and traditions in Jerusalem, but those are the ONLY things laid down as "requirements".

Hasn't it always been by faith though? Abraham was justified by faith, as was Noah, Rahab, David, and so many others in the old testament and listed in the book of Hebrews. Even Moses was disciplined for not believing God's word about speaking to the rock. Technically we could argue that Adam and Eve transgressed through lack of faith in God's warning. They chose to believe the serpent. The book of Hebrews teaches that the Israelites could not enter in because of unbelief.

You are correct. It has always been by faith. Idk why everyone struggles so much with this... It's even clarified in the new testament. @@charitybrook6279 during the time of Adam and Eve, they were instructed not to "eat" from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. This is "works" based on your faith. During the New Testament times (now), we are only required to have faith in what Christ did for us (His works) for salvation. And when the Tribulation begins, the entire world will know that Christ is the Son of God, so faith won't mean much at that point, but your works (being willing to die for Christ) will matter. I even saw someone say Heavenly Father which is shades of mormonism. There might even be a few KJV-onlists here as well. Well done. Lol As someone who came back to a church after a 13 year backslide in 2012 to a church that was in the cage-stage of the Young Restless Reformed movement (I didn't know what Calvinism even was having previously been Mormon/Nazarene growing up, it's a long story), I appreciate not hearing Calvinism in your Romans 9 breakdown. I was weary of your channel at first, because, unfortunately, most theology channels are just You Restless and Re.....Really full of themselves disciples. Not going to go into it, but there's a lot of bad memories for me associated with Neo-Calvinism. Granted I do disagree a little with your take on the Romans 9: 6-8, but I can appreciate a different take on the passage, and glean good information from your take on it. I am one of those who can learn from people I disagree with. I don't think it was Paul saying God was doing something new, but it was Paul answering the question to the Jewish believers in the audience as to why it appears the Word of God had failed, and why a large portion of them missed the Messiah. Pointing to the fact that the Word had not failed, but even in the past, not everyone who was a natural son was a spiritual son. That's just my take on it, but I do appreciate your take on it. I like hearing different views that aren't just Calvinist eisegesis. My take on the grafting in is similar to yours though. I guess grafted into spiritual Israel, or as you say, the believing family. I think believing family is a good term to use from now on, because Spiritual Israel can bring people on either sides to the debate (Hebrew Roots or Replacement Theology people) **Edit** I watched it again, I have a clearer understanding of what you are saying. I guess I don't disagree with your take on it as much as I first thought. I must say, unfortunately for me, members of my family have fallen deep into the Hebrew Roots stuff to the point that they moved to a state where a popular KZbinr who runs a homestead channel and is Hebrew Roots lives. He teaches Hebrew Roots. If you ever gt a chance, check out Zachary Bauer on youtube. My family is not the only to make the journey. A lot of people have moved to be closer to “the prophet” as I call him. It reminds me of the Mormon song “Follow the Prophet.” eck! Most the people my family knows in this “Torah People” movement came from the Nazarene Church which is a church that barely teaches any theology despite claiming Tozer as one of theirs. They were so susceptible to being pulled astray because the Nazarene Church doesn't teach anything. It's like how covert Calvinists are infiltrating SBC churches because a lot of Southern Baptists don't teach a lot of meat either, so they fall prey to smooth-talking covert Calvinists. I can't talk to my family about it either. They are so pulled into it. Most of them to the point of calling regular Christians pagans and unbelievers. I started studying Jewish Roots before I came back to chuch in 2012, and I delved a lot deeper into the topic than anyone in my family. I did get a lot of depth from a lot of the teaching, like seeing how the Feasts point to Christ. Reading more levelheaded authors like Michael Brown, and then getting a hunger to read more theology in general from all different authors from all different denominational backgrounds kept me from going cage stage Messianic Jew. I've since backed way off of it thanks to further study. I still appreciate the Jewish background of Christianity. Knowing the customs of the day in particular brings a lot more depth to the New Testament. It was also helpful, and later painful, attending a Calvinist Baptist Church where I would interact with believers I genuinely came to disagree with. In reading those “recommended reading” books from a Messianic Jewish Synagog drove me to read a lot more theology in general, and eventually gave me the tools to understand and dismantle the claims of Calvin, and helped me in discerning various teaching when I hear them woven into sermons. I've definitely learned grace with people I disagree with, even if most of them would never show it back (I'm either a pagan or a heretic I guess). I've moved out to my family because I was struggling in AZ where I previously was, and I was kept away from talking to them about it. There are some I can't tell anything to at all. It's become so deeply intertwined in them, and a pagan like me isn't allowed to talk about it. I don't know what to do anymore. My mom is still Mormon, my brother and sister are Hebrew Roots, one of my other siblings who doesn't live here is a Rob Bell fan. I'm the youngest and no one listens to me anyway. I appreciate what you are doing. Keep up the good fight against the Hebrew Roots theology. Keep helping shine light on it and bring more people out of it. I don't know what to do other than pray, and I'm so defeated in my prayers anyway.

 @BiblersWayCottage I have not problem if you think God has laid it on your heart to observe kosher eating. I have a problem when people take what God has laid in their hearts, and make it the law for everyone else. It's a manipulative way to get everyone to do what you think they should do, and get everyone else to imitate you instead of obeying God. The problem is when you make it a rule at which to judge other for, and a means at which to be "morally superior" over another believer. Outward expressions don't mean anything to God, and from what I can tell, most Hebrew Roots people are only pushing Torah as a means of being better than other believers, and it makes your definition of being a believer the only definition available. Who are you to tell God who are His followers and who aren't based on outward expressions. I take it you don't have a very strong theological background, or a very good understanding of God. Torah=God's teaching or instruction, or as translated into a concept in the Septuagint as Nomos or law. That's the Hebrew concept of God's teaching/Instruction. The Torah was not only ceremonial in nature to symbolize holiness, it was also the national constitution of ancient Israel (if you observe Torah, and aren't stoning your unruly kids, witches, or blasphemers, then by your own definition are a sinner and God will not hear your prayers either). There was a distinction between the Moral law/teaching/instruction from God and the ceremonial/Civil laws . Again, do you wear clothes mixed with wool or linen? Do you have a garden or a field where you grow more than one-type of plant? Are you circumcised? If you don't do everything in the Torah as commanded, which is established in the B'rit Hadasha is impossible for any of us to do, then you are every bit a sinner as you accuse others of being. I'm just wondering, if, in your definition of not following the Torah makes everyone else a sinner who will be cast into hell, what commands can you pick and choose personally? If you aren't stoning people to death, then you're a horrible sinner who isn't observing Torah. My problem is that, within the Hebrew Roots Movement, you all still pick and choose those Torah commands you want to follow or don't want to. You say there is no such difference as the ceremonial laws and the moral laws, so why is there a difference between those civil laws, and other laws? But let me also ask you this, are you obeying the great commission better than all those supposedly "pagan" churches out there? You know, the BIGGEST command Yeshua gave. Are out there proclaiming the name of Yeshua? Or are you out there proclaiming Torah. Show me how anyone in the Hebrew Roots movement is obeying the commission in any meaningful way. None of you are. Instead you are separating yourselves thinking you are somehow morally superior to everyone else because you follow a couple Kosher laws, and then go out on your feasts where you all camp out on someone else's land, and get drunk for a week. Thank God you aren't like the rest of us poor sinners who eat pork, but still obey the commands of Yeshua better than any of you ever well. I like the way the Baptist church down the road keeps the great commission better than the way everyone on the Hebrew Roots movement doesn't. Your fruit is rotten. You're over here arguing as to whether or not someone should have a beard or not while Pentecostal/Baptist missionaries are putting their lives on the line to proclaim the name of Jesus, and bring the gospel to the ends of the earth AS COMMANDED TO DO! Basically, I see a group of people who just want some moral high ground over other believers. A lot of you have been hurt in the churches you came from, and you just have to find a way to declare everyone who hurt you as unbelievers, and now you have the "restored gospel," like Joseph Smith claimed, with which to declare everyone who disagrees with you is a nonbeliever. Just remember, you become what you judge. What do you make of it in 1 Corinthians 7:18-20 when Paul says: 18 Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised. 19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God. 20 Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called. I know you focus on the "Obey the Commandments of God" part, but Paul is saying, if you were ethnically Jewish, remain Ethnically Jewish, but if you were Goyim remain Goyim. The point way that God wants people of every tribe, every tongue and every nation to worship Him. Acts 15 has an entire Council on the matter of gentile believers. instead of saying people need to be circumcized in order to be saved, you have shifted the goal posts and have made it "You have to observe Torah in order to be saved." You are majoring in the minors and causing divisions over things that really don't matter. God looks at the heart. What does Jacob/James say after he says "Faith without works is dead?" My rough paraphrase he says: You show me your works apart from your faith, and I will show you my faith through my works. Hebrew Roots people that have made torah observance a salvific issue. Sincere faith will produce sincere works, and the works Jacob mentions are not Torah observance. They are the "I desire mercy, not sacrifice" works. You are trusting in your own self-righteousness to save you, while casting stones as other believers (Who are you to judge another man's servant?) for things that don't matter at all in regards to salvation. My problem is you say it's not a salvation issue, yet for you, it's a salvation issue. The movement hasn't produced the fruits of the spirit, it doesn't obey the commission (preaching Torah instead of Yeshua). You can know the word of God back to front, but if you don't know the God of the Word, you're in trouble. Being legalistic and divisive over things that don't matter is not from God. All I've seen from this movement is a spirit of judgemental-ism. How arrogant to declare everyone else you don't agree with as an unbeliever because of small things that don't matter, especially when they are out there declaring the Gospel to the world while you're just sitting back and casting stones. Those churches are by far more obedient than any of the torah people are.

This is a false teaching! Way too many holes and lack of understanding of the covenants of promise. Ephriam is the key to understanding Romans and Galatians. Ezekiel 37 “the two sticks explains the mystery of the gentiles”

Hi Dexter! How do Ezekiel's "two sticks" explain the mystery of the Gentiles? Those two sticks represent the reunification of the Israelites into one nation, under one king (David), and one covenant with God. This prophecy was seen as a promise of restoration and reconciliation for the people of Israel, who had experienced division, exile, and hardship. It also signifies God's faithfulness to His covenant promises and His ability to bring about restoration even in the face of apparent impossibility. RLS

Indeed, the grafting in is about... Israelite's. Jew and Gentile, the two houses. Two sticks, two branches. Both olive, both Israelite's. Paul addressed the gentiles as brethren "who were Israelite's" . He said to them I'm also an Israelite from the stock of Abraham. Kinsman in the flesh. The multitude of nations is out of Ephraim, genesis 48. This is what the fullness of the nations / gentiles is. One house provoked to jealousy by a faith alone salvation being far off and outside the covenant. There was enmity between the houses. Paul said it was taken care of in Ephesians, the middle wall went down.

Before this time of restoration only Judah is recognized as Israel. If you guys would carefully read you would see this in Ezekiel 37. This is why he identifies the stick of JOSEPH as Ephriam and all of his companions the House of Israel. If you pay careful attention he never calls Southern kingdom or Judah the House of Judah in Ezekiel 37. He instead calls them the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL 👀 Why?????? Because during the time of the apostles and hamashiach Northern kingdom had already been divorced and no longer under the covenant. They had already been dispersed into the nations with the exception of a few.

In time past there was twain, Jews and Gentiles, but now there is one new creature. “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.” - Gal 6:15 All of the old things pertaining to Israel and the Gentiles are not carried over into this new creature: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” - 2 Cor 5:17 That this one thing is new means none of the old things are applied to it: old covenants, old laws, old lands, old national boundaries, prophecies of old are all passed away. The covenants to Israel, the kingdom to Israel, the land to Israel were not and could not be transferred into this new creature, because Israel ceases to be Israel in this one new man. Likewise, neither do the Gentiles remain Gentiles far away from God and without hope. Instead, in this new creature they become members of the very body of Christ (Eph 5:30). The description of God in Christ making “of two one new” is most important in distinguishing Israel from the church of this dispensation. In time past there was Gentile and there was Jew, but now what is new can be neither of the original two (Eph 2:15). It must be something entirely different. This new creature is called the church, the body of Christ (Eph 1:22-23). Mark this twain made new in your Bible and your ability to rightly divide will greatly improve. “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free…” - 1 Cor 12:13 “Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” - 1 Cor 12:27

In the entire book of John, in fact all the Gospels Jesus was speaking to the Jews. Only His Little Flock believed Him Jesus said I am the vine, you are the branches He was speaking to the Jews who believed He was the Son of God, the Messiah of Israel. The Church was not revealed yet as it was hid in God from the foundation of the earth UNTIL it (the church) was eventually revealed to Saul (Paul) on the road to Damascus. The new Covenant of Grace through faith in Jesus Christ was mainly for Gentiles the Jews also but mostly gentiles. The natural Jews will believe like the ones in the Gospels His Little Flock and when He comes at His Second Coming 1/3 of Israel will believe Jesus was their crucified Messiah and go into their long awaited Kingdom on Earth and be Kings and Priests on earth. The Body of Christ which the Apostle Paul raised up even to this day will receive their adoption inheritance in Heavenly Places By the way the Apostle Paul NEVER mentioned in any of his letters that the Church would be Kings and Priests. Kings and Priests are only for the Jewish people in the Kingdom. Read your bible, don't just trust utubers.

Appreciate the study it is helpful and clarifying. One side I am sure that will be brought up is how in Old Testament times there where people like Ruth and Rahab who joined Israel. However, it seems clear that the framework Paul is using he is not trying to use those examples in his illustration. Instead he looks to be using the status in general. Appreciate the lesson it truly helps break this down and make it understandable.

Very good teaching. I do have one small quibble towards the end (3rd section). You made the statement that all who came out of Egypt were the family (physical descendants). So, the quibble is the Exodus reads that it wasn't just family, but also included gentiles servants who also came out. This is also seen later on in the laws for those who were outsiders who joined Israel (nation). I would clarify and reword your statement on who all came out of Egypt and were members of the "nation" when it was formed at Mount Sinai. That was my quibble.

Great clarification, Thomas. And although there may have been a "mixed multitude" (Ex 12:38) with Israel at Mount Sinai, the covenant God made was not with "all present," but rather with the "house of Jacob and the people of Israel" (Exodus 19:3). The phrase "house of..." is the ancient Hebrew way of referring to one's family across generations. So the "house of Jacob" specifically means the physical descendants of Jacob (who was renamed "Israel" in Gen 32:28), _aka_ "the people of Israel," what we know today as the Jewish people. It was an ethnic group that Yahweh set apart for Himself. This is why in the Torah, Gentiles are always called out separately from Israel and labelled sojourners, foreigners, and strangers. Blessings, Rob

If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. [19] Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” [20] That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. [21] For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. [22] Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off. [23] And even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again. [24] For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree. ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:12‭-‬13‬ ‭ESV‬ [12] remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. [13] But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. Ephesians‬ ‭2:18‭-‬19‬ ‭ESV‬ [18] For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. [19] So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, Joshua‬ ‭6:25‬ ‭ESV‬ [25] But Rahab the prostitute and her father’s household and all who belonged to her, Joshua saved alive. *The King James Bible **_was_** at one time a literary masterpiece without blemish. What I mean is there were no spelling, grammar or punctuation errors in it. I have a short film in my playlist on how that was acheived. Now, they're on every page! And there are MANY word switches too! Satan has **_supernaturally_** attacked it more than any other translation, but all of them in every language have been destroyed in the fulfillment of prophecy! Plus all concordances, encyclopedias, dictionaries, history books, the oldest manuscripts and the Dead Sea scrolls have been miraculously changed to match!* *Not every word, Satan is too smart for that and he understands that rats won't eat pure poison so .05% is added to 99.95% corn. The rats love it because they can't taste the poison ... and perish for lack of knowlege! If you ever needed to obey God's commandment to ''prove all things'' and investigate something, this is it!!!* *Our Father said to "prove all things" and you better obey Him on this thing especially. I have an exceptional memory, I remember my third birthday party and can draw an accurate picture of my baby stroller. I'm 70, was saved when I was 10 and **_had been_** reading only the **_exact same copy_** of the King James bible since 1961. (I am not a king James onlyist, but now I'm glad I never read any others or I might not have noticed the changes as soon.) I memorized many scriptures out of it over the years and I absolutely **_know_** that the word **_demons_** used to be all through it. But today that word is not anywhere in there! It was replaced with **_devils._** And the only place I've ever read the word **_wineskins_** was in my bible, but it's not in it any more either. It was replaced with **_bottles._** And now **_unicorns, easter, matrix, castles, damsels, stuff, corn, colleges, banks, employment, schools, missles, tires, mufflers, manifolds, engines, highways, suburbs, pavement, presidents, doctors, pilots, sheriffs, beer, dumb ass, India, Spain, Italy, ferryboats, couches_** and lots of other words are in my bible that I never saw in it my whole life! Many of these words are anachronisms (they didn't even exist in 1611!) It never talked about men with milk in their breasts or fathers nursing babies either, but now it does! Isaiah 11:6 used to say the **_lion_** shall lie down with the lamb, not the **_wolf_** shall also dwell with the lamb! Lion represents Jesus and wolf is associated with Satan! There are 15 films in my playlist will show you plenty of undeniable "residue" showing that ''wolf'' has replaced "Lion". (Residue is what they call all the things Satan missed as he was changing our world.) Luke 17:34 used to say "two shall be in one bed, one shall be taken and the other one left", but now it says "two **_men_** shall be in one bed.......! And the following verse said "two women shall be grinding at the mill together......" and now it just says "two women shall be **_grinding together_** ......! So now the bible makes it sound like some homosexuals are going to be ''raptured"! BTW **_nobody's going to be "raptured" until after the tribulation. The Wrath of God follows._* But *this is the BIGGIE,* in Luke 19:27 it has Jesus saying "And those mine enemies that would not that I should reign over them, bring hither and *SLAY THEM BEFORE ME!"* It did say _eshew_ them away! This change makes Christians sound like radical extremists!! *Millions of Christians will be killed because of this verse!!!* And I know that this is a parable, but the king Jesus was talking about was Himself, the King of Kings! The film titled *Satan's Agents and Doctrines of Demons* which is in my playlist is just about this verse, and is the most important video most of you have ever seen. (It has Chuck Missler and Chuck Lawson in it!) *I memorized the Lord's prayer as a boy because Jesus told us to say it, and I have said it tens of thousands of times, and it absolutely did not say **_which_** art in heaven, it said **_who_** art in heaven, it didn't say **_in earth,_** it was **_on earth._** And it now says forgive us our **_debts_** instead of our **_trespasses!!!_* *God has sent His strong delusion to all of the people that never received the love of the truth! What's scary is, so far that appears to be almost all believers! This incredible phenomenon they're calling the Mandela effect is absolutely real, but it should actually be called the Daniel 7:25 effect because that's where God said He would give the Antichrist power to do this, (''change times and laws''). I first became aware of some of the bible changes in 2014 before I ever had a computer or had heard of the Mandela effect. But since 2016 I've watched many hundreds of videos on the subject, and saved some of the best and most important ones for proving your bible has been changed and pointing out all the places this was talked about in end time prophecies that we had previously misinterpreted in my playlist which you can see by 👉 typing into KZbin (PROOF OF BIBLE CHANGE RESIDUE JUNKIE)* 👈 *By the time you have seen all these films which point out all the misinterpreted prophecies being fulfilled **_supernaturally_** you will have grown MUCH closer to Jesus the never changing Word of God and your faith will be 1,000% stronger ... GUARANTEED!!!!!!!* *Even though I will no longer read any bible, (unless Jesus changes them back), I continue to study what God's word said by seeing what scriptures have been changed with proof of what was originally written. I urge you all to do the same, while you still can, because when the lights go out, all we'll have then is hard copies of the bible Satan wants us reading! At that point Amos **8:12** will be fulfilled where it says we will no longer be able to find His words anywhere again.* *This is without question the biggest and most important event since the day of Pentecost! When you see absolute proof that the miraculous fulfillment of end time prophecies are happening with your own eyes, and how close we are to our Savior's return, it's the most faith strengthening and exciting thing that you've ever experienced!* *God bless you all!!!* ❤✝️💪🏻

Paul said about them '8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.'

I would like to know your thoughts about dispensationalism and about the idea that we are under the dispensation of grace (Ephesians 3) do you agree with it or not if possible can you also put a bible verse together with your explanation. Can you also explain this verse in 2Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" KJV. Hello, Maeannnaya! I may do a video on dispensationalism at some point. I am not a dispensationalist. As I understand it, dispensationalism has two primary distinctives: #1 a consistently literal interpretation of Scripture, especially Bible prophecy, which I see leading to a number of problems in interpretation. #2 a view of Israel as separate from the Church in God’s program, and I don't believe the Bible teaches the idea of two peoples of God at all. I believe there is one people of God and thus continuity between the people of God in the Old Testament and the people of God in the New Testament. The Church does not replace Israel, it is an organic continuation of the Old Testament people of God. Blessings, Rob

Read Ephesians 2:11-12 with verse 19. It says: Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands)- remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners.... Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household. No longer foreigners and strangers of what? The Israel mentioned in verse 12! New Covenant means new Israel! (Hebrews 8:8).

This is kinda of funny, God created man, male and female, and have the covenant (Torah to the Jews) forever. It’s crazy to think that someone could follow something that denies that God created us: Psalms 100:3 “Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.” 2 Samuel 7:23 “And who is like Your people, like Israel, a unique nation on earth, whom God went forth to redeem into Himself for a people…..” .v 24 - “You have established for Yourself Your people Israel as a people unto You forever, and You, HaShem, have been a God for them…” If you not a man or woman , what kind of a creature are you? That literally is the definition of a nonbinary….. And one who is neither a born Jew is a gentile can still convert to Judaism and become Jewish.

Bop ya good, If you are correct as you say you are not Israel, then you are not part of the New Covenant. For it is very clear that the New Covenant is between God, the house of Judah, and the house of Israel. Jer 31:31. No house of Gentiles mentioned. If you’re not part of the house of Israel or Judah, then you’re not part of the New Covenant. As most of Mr Solberg’s teachings, he builds his teachings on at least one error. In this teaching, the blatant error was that the Old Covenant was only to ethnic Israel. That is not true at all. The many Egyptians that joined with Israel in the great exodus later were part of the Covenant. Ex 12:38. God said if they want to obey the rules of Israel, they can join Israel. Ex 12:48. Other examples are Rahab and Ruth. Ruth 1:16 Matt 1:5. They not only were gentiles that joined Israel, they were honored by being in the linage of Jesus. God loves and treats everyone the same and His will is that all would repent of their wicked ways and turn to obedience to His way of doing things. After all, He did creat everything and He knows how it works best.

Gentiles, in the Old Testament, could become a part of the kingdom and nation of Israel. If a gentile soujourned in Israel wanted to stay and accept the God of Israel, then they would become a part of the tribe they had been sojourning in. For example, if it was the tribe of Joseph, then they became a part of the tribe of Joseph and their children then born were conidereal natural born isralites. Ruth for example. How do you factor this concept in your study? Matt 5. The law and prophets will not be done away until heaven and earth pass. This law is talking about God's law given to Moses. And anyone who teaches it has shall be called least in the kingdom of God. Look outside. Has this heaven and earth passed? No. That law is now written on our hearts, if not what law is written on our hearts in new covenant. Also, Ezekiel says sacrifices and priests will start back up in the New Temple. This agrees with God's words through prophets that the Priesthood would not ever pass away as long as the stars and creation existed. This is because of what Jesus said in Matthew 5, that until those stars and heaven pass away the law and prophets are still in affect. Isaiah and other prophets speak of the future temple and how gentiles will come from the nations to worship there. Also how Jesus will come and build the temple....and it's good.

Jacob's name indeed was changed to Israel (It means: Strived with GOD and with men, and have prevailed) The assumption that the name Israel referred only to blood relatives of the man Israel is just an assumption - The Bible don't state that. Anyone that "Strived with GOD and with men, and have prevailed" can be called "Israel" by definition. The descendants of Jacob and the "people of Israel" is not the same thing. Nowhere in the Bible you can find it saying that it is. The person presenting this is confusing some manmade seminary assumptions (classical Hebrew parallelism) with what the Bible is actually saying. Notice that on Exodus 19 there is an "IF" and "THEN" statement. So, if the people did "obey and keep MY covenant" then GOD would reward them by making them a "treasured possession, a kingdom of priests and a holy nation". Please notice that nowhere in the Bible the covenant is referred to as a "mosaic" covenant. This is also another made-up thing that have infiltrated into seminaries and unfortunately is repeated by many as if it was true. On 7:20 this person confuses what is written on Exodus 4:22-23. The correct understanding of this passage is clearly outlined on Exodus 4:22-23 itself "Israel is my firstborn" - it is simply saying that Yeshua is GOD's "firstborn" (see Hebrews 8:29) - Yeshua being the likely person whose Jacob contended with before he became Israel. What amazes me by the contortionism that some do to understand what is not written in the Bible clearly. They find hard to understand that Yeshua was never born - HE is GOD and eternal. Another fallacy of these seminary teachers is to referred to the Tanach as the "Old Testament". There's no such thing as an old testament and a new testament - those entries you see in the Bible are not inspired by GOD and do not exist on any manuscript. - There is one single testament. They often mistaken a "testament" with a "covenant" when the two are very distinct and their assumptions about them do not exist in the written Bible but rather are another part of the gymnastic they do to explain a house of cards theology they have created. They use words like "mindset" as they pick and choose historic commentary, etc. It is mostly non-sense created to exalt a class of "the ones who understand scriptures" from the people who Scriptures were written for. There's no old promise land and new promise land. Don't fall for it. That's purely made-up. The switcheroo happens when this person tries to interpret Paul's words on Romans 9 and tries to dissociate "the children of the promise" which has been and will always be "the children of the promise" regardless of their nationality and background. It was by faith that Abraham believed in GOD and the promise came to the descendants of Abraham who was himself a descendant of Adam. Paul was simply stating a fact, NOT a new understanding of a NEW FACT from what was said by GOD previously. GOD's plan was and has always been to save humanity from the separation we caused when we sinned. This person is so confused and these explanations - although popular - are a dangerous if not malicious way to interpret what is written. Paul never introduced anything new to the Bible because it wasn't his job to do so. Paul was well aware of his goal to bring the good news (Yeshua birth, death and resurrection) to the gentiles. Paul presented his understanding and when you read his understanding UNDER what was previously presented by the FATHER and the SON, then you actually understand what Paul wrote. It is important to understand that Paul was a sinner. From the day he was born to the day he died. He considered himself a major sinner that required a "torn on the flesh" to remind him everyday of who he was. His assignment was to bring the Gospel (the good news) to the gentiles. Christianism have turned Paul into their god and they can't defend their faith or theology without a distorted presentations of what Paul "said" and for sure they stay away from observing what Paul actually did in his life. Paul was chosen by Yeshua to bring the Gospel to the gentiles. When you read the Holy Scriptures you must understand the hierarchy of authority: Above all is what GOD the FATHER said, wrote and did; Followed by Yeshua and what He said and did. And followed by the Holy Spirit actions and down the line to all the patriarchs, prophets, apostles, etc. eventually when you come to Paul and his writings and understand his authority you will clearly understand that Paul was a follower of GOD. A believer of Yeshua and a man full of the Holy Spirit - But still a sinner. Paul's word DO NOT overrides what GOD said and wrote or what Yeshua said and exemplified. Again on Romans 9 Paul underlines the importance of faith (which as required by all of humanity since Adam). After all It was misplaced faith that caused Adam and Eve to sin. Faith in GOD requires (since the very beginning to be placed on GOD and GOD alone). The mistaken understanding of what Paul wrote is just a mistake - Faith wasn't a new concept. It was always the requirement. Before the arrival of Yeshua, it was faith in the coming of Yeshua (Salvation), after the resurrection it was faith on Yeshua and until the end it will be faith on Yeshua - Nothing new here. These "misunderstandings" of what Paul said were created by the Hellenistic Jews that lived with the pagans of Greece and then it was augmented by the orthodox church for the purpose of creating a house of cards theology that hinges solely on the words of Paul. So, if you take from this house of cards a card named "Paul", the whole thing collapses as everything else in the Bible do not support this heresy. At about 20:25 this person takes Romans 11 completely out of context. So, in context the verse says "...if the root is holy, so are the branches" Yeshua is the vine and the "branches" (In Hebrew "netser" Nazarene) referred to the branch of Nazarene which Paul was said to be the leader of the sect of the Nazarenes. The Nazarenes (followers of Yeshua the Nazarene) were also called "Followers of The Way". GOD and Yeshua never created a new religion. The Nazarenes were a branch of the Faith that believed in the One True God - At the time written - that was Judaism. Yeshua never gave up Judaism and to this day He still identifies himself the "Lion of the tribe of Judah" (See the book of revelations) Again, Romans 11 is about faith that you are holding on to the promise of Messiah. When it comes to the argument for keeping or not keeping the law please understand that GOD's word is eternal and the law is also eternal. If you think you can get to GOD and not keep HIS law you don't have Love. As Faith and hope will pass away but Love will remain. GOD is Love and as Yeshua is the example to follow. (If you say that you follow Yeshua but have no love you are not following HIM). John 14:15-31 "If you love me, keep my commandments", those words came to us from Yeshua (Salvation) Himself. The difference is that the law is not a burden to the believers. But, today's Christians think that the law was abolished and done away with. The Bible tells us that without the law there's no sin. Sin by definition is a violation of the law of GOD. This person says on 29:24 that the law was given to the nation of Israel. That's is contrary to what the Bible says. The law was given to humanity - Yes the nation of Israel is a part of humanity. The point of the law is to keep us on The Way back to GOD's love. Yeshua's sacrifice fulfilled the law - but did not abolished the law. This is clearly seen as you read Scriptures and realize that ALL of the apostles, disciples and followers of Yeshua kept the law. They kept the Sabbath as Holy to the LORD just as prescribed to them in Genesis AND they did that AFTER Yeshua's resurrection and ascension back to GOD. The preaching of a life of lawlessness that you hear on Christianity is satanic because only satan hates the law of GOD. Again, this hate for the law is a corner stone of the house of cards that composes today's Christianity. That's one of the reasons why there's NO difference between Christians and non-Christians in divorce, the way they behave, dress, lie, deceive, etc. They think that saying a couple words and going to a Sunday church will save them because their magic Jesus will save them even if they are exactly the same before and after their "conversion". This is non-sense. Yeshua paid the full price for you to see the example and to follow HIS Way - not your own way. It is impossible to please a just GOD with the pagan practice of lawlessness. So, practice your Love for your Savior by doing what HE did and not doing the things HE told you not to do. When you understand and behave this way you will be keeping HIS commandments and HIS love will cover you when you fail - That's Grace. But, if you choose to embrace lawlessness you will be excluding yourself from the new Heaven and the Earth. Behold the LORD is coming back soon for his people. Rev 21:1-6

@@kimartist Galatians 4:21-31: "Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, one by the handmaid, and one by the freewoman. Howbeit the son by the handmaid is born after the flesh; but the son by the freewoman is born through promise. Which things contain an allegory: for these women are two covenants; one from mount Sinai, bearing children unto bondage, which is Hagar. Now this Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia and answereth to the Jerusalem that now is: for she is in bondage with her children. But the Jerusalem that is above is free, which is our mother. For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; Break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: For more are the children of the desolate than of her that hath the husband. Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise. But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, so also it is now. Howbeit what saith the scripture? Cast out the handmaid and her son: for the son of the handmaid shall not inherit with the son of the freewoman. Wherefore, brethren, we are not children of a handmaid, but of the freewoman." so we see here that Jerusalem in the 1st century was living in the flesh, and rejected Christ, they were relying on their flesh for their salvation, this is the false doctrine that was being pushed in Galatia. This is a parallel concept to Romans 6 1 John 3:4: "Every one that doeth sin doeth also lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. " Romans 6:1-2: "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. We who died to sin, how shall we any longer live therein?" Romans 6:16-18: " Know ye not, that to whom ye present yourselves as servants unto obedience, his servants ye are whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But thanks be to God, that, whereas ye were servants of sin, ye became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching whereunto ye were delivered; and being made free from sin, ye became servants of righteousness. " Romans 7:12-25: "So that the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and righteous, and good. 13 Did then that which is good become death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might be shown to be sin, by working death to me through that which is good;-that through the commandment sin might become exceeding sinful. For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I know not: for not what I would, that do I practise; but what I hate, that I do. But if what I would not, that I do, I consent unto the law that it is good. So now it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwelleth in me. For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me, but to do that which is good is not. For the good which I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I practise. But if what I would not, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwelleth in me. I find then the law, that, to me who would do good, evil is present. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members. Wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me out of [q]the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then I of myself with the mind, indeed, serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin." Those who reject Christ and rely on themselves have no hope. There is nothing we can do to justify ourselves, our only hope is in Christ. As followers of Christ we are no longer slaves to sin, but we are now free in the spirit to follow God and His ways. While in this world we still have a fallen sinful nature, but we are ask the Spirit to lead us to follow God and obey Him.

This sort of thing was my first big complaint against Messianic Judaism over 20 years ago. The irony too was at the time, I was set to become a minister in a church coming from the Assyrian Church of the East, one of the ancient Syriac Churches descended from the Jews of the Diaspora along the Silk Road. In terms of having an organic link to the faith, I would have had one more than my Messianic rabbi friend who was raised in a family with no religion. Besides this, I researched the history of Messianic Judaism and pointed out how Jews for Jesus and other groups are a modern phenomenon. I actually said that the Olive Tree verse is flipped, Messianic Judaism is coming out of Christianity. It has been Christianity that preserved the Faith, etc. and that saint Paul if he were writing today, would likely point out how such people should be grateful for the Gospel they have received from Christianity.

@TheBiblicalRoots
@TheBiblicalRoots 29 күн бұрын
Hi Ervin. "Christian" behavior is defined all throughout the New Testament, in the words of Jesus, in the gospels, and the epistles. I teach and believe that obedience to God is of utmost importance for believers. We are to submit to His authority over our lives. Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15). I’m sure you would agree that not every command God has given applies to every person at all times. Some only apply to certain people (i.e., men, women, parents, Levitical priests) or at certain times (i.e., building an ark, gathering manna, while in exile). And I’m sure you would also agree that we are each only expected to keep the commands of God that apply to us. The NT expressly teaches that many of the commands given under the Old Covenant Law do not apply to Christians today. (ex. Repeated blood sacrifices for sin are no longer required (Heb 10:18).) We still serve God and obey His commands, “But now we are released from the law, having died with Christ to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code” (Rom 7:6). And “If you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law: (Gal. 5:18). Blessings, Rob

@TheBiblicalRoots Hi Rob, thank you for your very timely reply. Actually, I don't agree that EVERY commandment doesn't apply to EVERYONE, ALL, the time. There's 10 commandments, they are NOT gender, age, nor, vocation contingent. If I am in error, please correct me with biblical examples. Shalom

My understanding of gentiles being graffed into the olive tree relies on what Paul says about Abraham. In Romans 4:9-25; Gal. 3:16, 29. Also, Rom. 3:28-31; since Abraham is the father of faith. The term 'Israel' was the name given to Jacob in Gen. 32:28, after wrestling with the angel and prevailing. In Gen. 35:10, it retells the event of Gen. 32:28, and in Gen. 35:11, it adds, "God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins." Also, we know that Abraham was the father of Ishmael, but in Gen. 21:12, it says, "... for in Isasc shall thy seed be called." Paul uses this in Rom. 9:6-8, to say, "That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed." However, like Abraham, this was also before the Mosaic covenant. Being graffed into "Israel" does not mean being graffed into the Mosaic covenant. It means being graffed into the family of faith before the bondage of Egypt, before the exodus, before the Mosaic covenant, before their wandering in the wilderness because of their complaining and hardness of heart. ((Hebrew Roots assumes that Christians are grafted in at the time of Jesus' first advent in the first century, and are therefore obligated to follow the Mosaic covenant. But, that is contrary to how Paul explains Abraham being the father of faith for the uncircumcised and the circumcised. It is also contrary to Paul explaining that the very branch Hebrew Roots are trying to graft themselves into is the branch that was cut off for unbelief. Acts 7:51-53, "Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised of heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers: Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it." Acts 15:10, "Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?" Of course, there is the argument that since Jesus was a Jew, and Christians follow Jesus, then Christians should practice Judaism. However, that relies solely on Jesus' genetics (flesh) and ignores his divinity. In John 8:58, Jesus says, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." That is, Jesus was before Abraham, and Abraham's faith was in Jesus the messiah. John 8:56, "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad." When did Abraham see Jesus' day? In Gen. 22:8-14, when a ram was provided as a substitute for Isaac. So, Christians are not just graffed into the family of faith through Abraham by faith, but also through Jesus who was before Abraham. Then there is the argument that since Jesus kept the law of Moses, Christians should too. But, this ignores the scriptures showing that Jesus followed the law of Moses, as a man, in order to fulfill it and bring in a New Covenant. The argument that Jesus fulfilling the Old Covenant, and finishing it, abolishes it and therefore contradicts his claim in Matt. 5:17, that, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill." is an argument (119 ministries) that confuses "abolish" with "fulfill" by claiming that if the result of fullfilling it ends it, then it abolishes it, and therefore the terms are synonymous. However, this argument is rejecting Jesus' own words about fulfilling it and making him contradict himself. It also illegitimately makes the term "abolish" (or destroy), synonymous with "fulfill" (or finish), by only looking at the absence of the law. To fulfill something completes it. To abolish or destroy something removes it without fulfilling or completing it. For example, there are two or three methods for resolving a debt. One is to pay the debt, as Jesus did by fulfilling the law. A second is debt forgiveness of the creditor. But, that doesn't pay the debt. The third is bankruptcy that nullifies the debt without paying it off. It is only the first that fulfills the contract by paying the debt. Thus, Jesus did not come to destroy the law, or the prophets by dismissing them, erasing them, throwing them away, burning them, or in any other manner demolishing them. He came to fulfill them, to complete them, to honor the contract/covenant and release the debtors/prisoners from the debt they could not pay. He didn't destroy the debt, he paid the debt and set the debtors free. Once free from the debt, why put yourself back under bondage? Gal. 3:10, For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. ... (13) Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree.")) Consequently, the question of Gentile Christians being grafted into Israel is not about following the line of genetics (flesh), but about following what point in time the grafting takes place, and how the grafting is achieved. If it is by promise then it is not by flesh, and if it is by faith, then it is not by law, as Paul says in Rom. 9:6-8, supra, and in Gal. 3:18, "For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise." And in Rom. 4:14, "For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise of none effect. ... (16) Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all." The metaphor of being grafted into an olive tree does not require being grafted in at the top of the tree. A branch can be grafted in - in many places on the tree. You can prune a branch off high on the tree, and graft a new branch in lower on the tree than the branches that are natural. Lastly, I don't see the "commonwealth of Israel" in Ephesians 2:12, as being an Israel of the flesh, of a genetic or ethnic variety if branches can be broken off and others be grafted in. And, not when Paul explains that "Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; ... were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of PROMISE (not covenant of flesh, nor of the law), having no hope, and without God in the world." Are "now in Christ Jesus ... made nigh by the blood of Christ." Thus, the "commonwealth of Israel" is not a "commonwealth" of the flesh, but is a "commonwealth" of the Spirit. It is not Jesus' ethnicity nor nationality that makes him God. And, neither ethnicity nor nationality makes anyone a Christian.

we're grafted into Jesus. when we receive Jesus we've become partakers of the "root of the olive tree" (romans 11:17). that "root" supports us (romans 11:18). if that "root" is holy so are its branches (romans 11:16). Jesus is the "holy root" (revelation 22:16). grace and peace brothers and sisters . . .

Is it correct to say we are grafted into Jesus Christ? Jesus uses the analogy of being the vine and believers (Jews/gentiles/nations=believers, all who love Jesus) being the branches in John 15. We must abide in HIm and He in us or we cannot experience eternal salvation. He is our source of love, existence, life eternal. If Isaiah 49 speaks of the Messiah as Israel, and Jesus is the vine and we the branches (all believers), then wouldn't we be grafted into Jesus Christ?

@ defender bro, Membership in Father's Family has never been about ethnicity; ( its always been about the Spirit that moves you) you always leave out the part about the rites of the Passover -and how partaking in Passover is the passage that has always been the entrance into being "as native born" Exodus 12:43-51 -being an 'Isrealite" has always been about how you act, not about your blood; not about your flesh. ( also, you conveniently leave out the multi-faceted meaning of Isreal when you make your narrow arguments that just do not hold up to defending your made up religion. Jesus is our high priest that makes atonement for us, we all need him, there is no other way to find atonement -why do you insist on keeping the tradition of creating a new religion where you are free to not act like you belong to the most high? Ancient Israel fell because most folks would not obey the commandments, from the beginning Father has shown grace to all his children ( psalm 103:12) Grace is not an invention from the coming of Jesus. Can you not see that his elect are called to be holy? Everyone is at a different place in that eternal road of fearing the Father and keeping His cammandments.

Great stuff for refuting Hebrew roots, would love to hear you elaborate on this though, because one thing I get confused about is the role of the Abrahamic promise in light of the new covenant. Dispensationalists almost make it sound like there is a distinct gospel/kingdom message based on ethnicity. Also, Esther mentions many gentile coverts to the Hebrew religion, so how is the mosaic covenant only ethnic?

This is a comment that I wrote, it somewhat answers your question about the abrahamic promise in the New Covenant: "Well yeah, Yeshua Jesus is from Judah and we are grafted into that, "we are bone of his bones and flesh of his flesh" even the promise of the Holy Spirit is the blessing and promise of Abraham, who begat Issac, Jacob, who was named Israel, yes we are grafted into Israel in these standards, if people are not a partaker of the Blessing of Abraham (Holy Spirit), then they are not even Saved in salvation, All This came through Israel and that's what we are grafted into by faith. Whether people think or believe in this Or not, by virtue of having faith in Jesus, Believers are grafted into Israel because Israel is the origin of Jesus, Romans 11 says Israel is the olive tree, Gentiles are wild branches grafted into it, however I do Not subscribe to Hebrew roots doctrines that try to put us back under the law, or (no) legalism, or (no) modern Judaizers, but I believe that we as Believers are "Spiritual Jews" in the sense that we obey the commandments of Jehovah Heavenly Father as it applies to the New Covenant, including the ten commandments as Apostle Paul mentions in his New Testament letter."

@kimartist I think the Abrahamic Covenant was partly fulfilled on Pentecost in Acts chapter 2 when God poured out the Holy Spirit in the Apostles, because that's the blessing of Abraham, the other part of the promise made to Abraham is still in process of being fulfilled, God will make Abraham's descendents as numerous as the stars, this is the global born again Christians church that will increase in number until Jesus returns, it's still in process but the New Covenant is God's program right now since 1st century AD

@@KingdomCarrier9 Yes I can pretty much agree with most of that - perhaps think a bit bigger picture on the blessing part - but I'm still trying to work out if New/Abrahamic are the same, or separate? Because in so many ways it seems like the Abrahamic covenant was the outline & the New Covenant is the Abrahamic Covenant fleshed out with new commands ("love one another"), practices (eg. baptism, communion, etc.) & "big picture" game plans (eg. Matthew 24, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, Revelation).

I agree with other comments that you articulate your points well. I am not a Torah observer. I noticed you didn't appear (I may have missed it) to make a distinction between the Mosaic and Abrahamic covenants. Paul makes the distinction in Galatians 3. Doesn't Israel's election as God's people come from the Abrahamic covenant that Jacob inherited? Is this why they remain God's elect people, despite their unbelief and rejection of their Messiah (because the Abrahamic cov is unilateral, not conditional, Gen 15)? Do you recognise the judicial national setting aside of God's kindgom programme for Israel due to their national rejection of Jesus as their king?...if so, does this feed into the subject of this video (you didn't have to mention all this if you do think it is relevant, you still made the point clearly enough). I think it is relevant as the New Covenant was promised to Israel and Judah...Paul seems to say that it is only because of their national rejection of Jesus that the New Covenant has been opened up (ethnic factors set aside) to whosoever will (I.e. + gentiles). Again, this doesn't alter the basic thrust of your video, but it might be relevant. I also wonder if Paul is very specific that he uses the olive, and not the vine, or even fig tree motifs of Israel, as the olive concerns Israel's temple and priestly service as mediators...something they have lost, because the church is now the temple of God, and is not solely Israel's possession, or responsibility. I think it would be fair to say that the Church replaces the temple of the Mosaic covenant, but doesn't replace the people/nation of Israel. I'd be interested in your thoughts, or redirect to other videos you have done on these issues, but understand this is an old video.

Hi tbishop... Yes, the Old Testament ekklesia was comprised of the twelve tribes of Israel, sojourners, and then proselytes. If sojourners or proselytes were counted righteous by faith, their names are written in the Lamb's book of life, and are sons of Abraham. The nation of Israel believed that all who were natural descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob belonged to God (See John 8), but Jesus confronted them because they didn't believe (the ones who did believe becames disciples). The "grafting in" concept only applies to those counted righteous by faith (all the saints in salvation history)--the "cultivated olive tree" in Romans 11. In the New Testament ekklesia, only born-again believers, counted righteous by faith (repentant overcomers who endure to the end) are sons of Abraham, and grafted in to the cultivated olive tree, or "Israel of God." Hebrews 10:35 "Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward." Hebrews 10:36 "For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised." Hebrews 10:37 "For, 'Yet a little while, and the coming one will come and will not delay;'" Hebrews 10:38 "But my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” Hebrews 10:39 "But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls." The Torah clearly defines that it is a covenant with God and the Jews, and that the New Covenant or “promise” is the same covenant as before, just this time all Jews will love the Torah, perform the commandments and never leave HaShem’s ways again. "Grafted in?” Let us start with the credibility of the theology of being “grafted in” that the NT implies or grants Christian’s as being apart of the covenant made eternally with the Israelites. The olive tree metaphor is used in both the Tanakh and the New Testament, the specific theological application of being grafted in, as presented in the New Testament (Romans 11:17-24), is a distinctive concept introduced by the Apostle Paul. In the Tanakh, the olive tree metaphor is used to symbolize Israel’s condition, sometimes in a positive sense of flourishing (Jeremiah 11:16) or negative sense of judgment (Hosea 14:5-6). However, the idea of Gentiles being grafted into the olive tree, as articulated in the New Testament, is a unique theological concept introduced to illustrate the inclusion of non-Jews into God’s covenant through faith in Jesus Christ. In essence, the New Testament’s theological application of the olive tree metaphor introduces a novel concept not explicitly present in the Tanakh, making it distinctive and specific to Christian theology. Therefore, the theological emphasis on Gentiles being grafted into the olive tree is a unique development in the New Testament that is not a direct continuation of the Tanakh’s use of the olive tree metaphor. Since this metaphor of the “olive tree” of the NT and it’s theology of being “grafted in” is not accurate, and does not connect to the Tanakh or Jewish theology, the authors credibility must be questioned as well. Paul-Saul of Tarsus: In Christian tradition, Saul of Tarsus is said to have been born in the city of Tarsus, located in modern-day Turkey. Initially identified as a Pharisee (Pharisee of Pharisees - Acts 23:6), Saul is depicted as actively persecuting followers of Jesus (1 Corinthians 15:9 & so on…). The turning point in his life, a dramatic conversion experience on the road to Damascus, is a pivotal event narrated in the New Testament's Book of Acts. This transformative incident involves Saul encountering a divine light and hearing the voice of Jesus, leading to his profound shift into becoming a devoted follower of Christ. The absence of explicit references to Saul of Tarsus in Jewish texts, particularly the Tanakh, has prompted inquiries into his alleged association with Rabbi Gamaliel. Christian accounts posit Saul as a student of rabbi Gamaliel, a revered Pharisee and Sanhedrin member whose moderation is highlighted in the Book of Acts, where he counsels caution in dealing with the early Christian movement. Notably, Jewish historical sources, including the Mishnah, Talmud, and Midrashim, lack any corroboration of Saul's association with Rabbi Gamaliel. This absence raises doubts about the historical accuracy of this aspect of Saul's narrative and questions the reliance on circular reasoning, given that the New Testament serves as the sole source for this storyline. Jewish texts predominantly focus on the teachings and legal deliberations of Rabbi Gamaliel, rather than detailing his purported interaction with the early Christian community. Additionally, the argument hinges on the claim that the validity of Paul's theological framework is dependent on his status as a Pharisee and Jew. If one questions the authenticity of his credentials, it introduces uncertainty about the theological concepts he introduced, forming a loop where the validity of his teachings is closely tied to his own claims. These considerations prompt a critical examination of the foundations of Pauline theology and its impact on the understanding of Gentile inclusion in God's covenant through the Torah. Conversion or strategic framing? While the New Testament posits that Paul was previously Saul of Tarsus, a closer examination reveals a nuanced narrative that lacks a substantiated link to Judaism. It's crucial to discern between a narrative connection and historical integrity. The strategic identification of Paul with Saul of Tarsus may serve a theological purpose, but when scrutinized against the backdrop of Jewish literature and the Tanakh, a palpable absence of connection emerges. This deliberate association in the New Testament appears to be more of a theological framing rather than a factual bridge to Judaism. Unraveling the layers reveals a narrative strategy that seeks to create a semblance of continuity, urging Christians to perceive a connection where historical evidence falls short. Did Paul use Jewish theology in his writings? There's a conspicuous lack of evidence supporting Paul's deep understanding of the Hebrew language. He rarely employed it, favoring Greek text, often misquoting and misusing it to weave his narrative and shape Christian theology. While Paul accurately quoted Greek philosophers, playwrights, and poets, his citations from Jewish prophets were less precise, raising a theological dilemma. If Christians regard Paul's writings as divinely inspired, why would God draw from the works of godless Greek writers? Would God quote figures like Voltaire or Russell? Paul referenced Plato in I Cor. 13:12, Greek poets Epimenides of Crete and Aratus of Cilicia in Acts 17:28, and comedy playwright Menander in I Cor. 15:33. In the latter, he cited a playwright known for using vulgarities, prompting the question: would God quote from a playwright who frequently employed offensive language? In Galatians, Paul addressed an illiterate, non-Jewish audience, introducing a contrived teaching about the Abrahamic Covenant that portrays gentile Christians as children of Abraham (Galatians 1:1-6:18). This agenda, evident in Galatians 4:22-31, transforms the descendants of Sarah into a metaphor for those free from the curse of the Law, and casting the descendants of Hagar as representing Jews bound by the Law. This raises questions about the existence of a "curse" attached to the Law in the Tanakh, lacking support in verses like Deut. 28:15, 45, and Jeremiah 11:3-5. Despite claiming to be the "Pharisee of Pharisees," Paul consistently misquotes Jewish scriptures, leading to inconsistencies in his understanding of the Hebrew language, theological concepts, and the contextual nuances of Hebrew Scriptures.This leads to the conclusion that Paul may not have been who he claimed to be, carrying profound implications for doctrines like “Pauline grafting.” The Christian argument appears to simplify the situation into a false dichotomy: either Paul is a Pharisee and Jew, validating his teachings, or he is not, rendering his writings entirely false. Given the evidence that Paul wasn’t who he claimed to be, it follows that his writings lack credibility, affirming that his theology is disconnected from the Tanakh and Judaism.. Converts: How does one become apart of HaShem’s covenant with Israel? The Hebrew Bible (Tanakh) contains several verses that emphasize the acceptance of foreigners (converts) or non-Israelites into the community, often with the expectation of following Israel's religious practices and laws. While the term "convert" may not be used in the same way as in modern Judaism, these verses illustrate the acceptance of outsiders who wish to become part of the community. Here are a few relevant verses: • Exodus 12:48-49: "A foreigner (convert) residing among you who wants to celebrate the Lord’s Passover must have all the males in his household circumcised; then he may take part like one born in the land. No uncircumcised male may eat it. The same law applies to both the native-born and to the foreigner residing among you." • Leviticus 19:34: "The foreigner (convert) residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God." • Numbers 15:15: "The community is to have the same rules for you and for the foreigner (convert) residing among you; this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. You and the foreigner shall be the same before the Lord." • Isaiah 56:3-7: “Let no foreigner who is bound to the Lord say, ‘The Lord will surely exclude me from his people.’ … for my (convert) house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” • Ruth 1:16: “But Ruth replied, ‘Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.’” • Ezekiel 47:22-23: “You are to allot it as an inheritance for yourselves and for the foreigners (convert) residing among you and who have children. You are to consider them as native-born Israelites; along with you, they are to be allotted an inheritance among the tribes of Israel.” These verses highlight the inclusive nature of Israelite society, where foreigners (converts) who embraced the faith and practices of the Israelites were not to be excluded but were to be treated as equals, participating in the religious and social life of the community. These verses emphasize the inclusion of foreigners (converts) or non-Israelites into the community if they adhere to certain religious and ceremonial practices, such as circumcision and following religious festivals and laws. While the Tanakh does not use the term "convert" as it's understood in modern Judaism, these verses show the willingness to welcome those from other backgrounds who choose to adopt Israelite practices and become part of the community.

Just discovered you. I have a friend in a Messianic congregation. They're pretty cultish. I can't recall what book we were in, maybe Galatians. But, she stopped attending our Bible study because she disagreed with our discussion of grace.

Thank you Prof. Solberg. Truly a brilliant exposition, which should clear up the misunderstandings of Paul's words. "And so, all Israel shall be saved". Both Jew, and gentile believers in Christ - the Israel of God. Grafting in also ties in with Ez 47:22,23, and Rev21:12, 22:14. May the Lord continue to bless you, with increased knowledge and wisdom.

@MILKEBECK2484 ROMANS 11:1-7,25-28 , " 1.I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, 3Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. 4But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. 5Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. 6And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. 7What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded . 25.For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. 28As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. MILKBECK2484 , WHO IS THE COVENANT WITH ? JEREMIAH 31:31-36 , " 31.Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: 33But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. 35Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name: 36If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. HEBREWS 8:6-10 , " 6.But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. 7For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. 10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: IF THE SUN IS STILL A LIGHT BY DAY , AND THE MOON AND STATRS A LIGHT BY NIGHT ; THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL IS STILL A NATION BEFORE THE GOD OF ISRAEL . BELIEVING GENTILES ARE GRAFTED INTO THE COVENANT OF ISRAEL ; NOT UNDER THE LAWS OF THE FATHER , BUT UNDER THE LAWS OF CHRIST ; WHICH ARE THE SAME LAWS OF THE FATHER ( DEUTERONOMY 18:15-19 ) . ACTS 10:34-36 , " 34.Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. 36The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all: THE GOD OF ISRAEL HAST ALWAYS ACCEPTED THE GENTILES/STRANGERS , WHO LIVE BY FAITH ; JUST AS HE ACCEPTS THE ISRAELITES WHO LIVE BY FAITH . EXODUS 12:49 , " 49.One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you. BUT ISRAEL IS THE ONLY NATION ( FAMILY OF PEOPLE ) HE HAST MADE A COVENANT WITH TO KEEP HIS LAWS . AS A PARENT YOU HAVE THE KIDS OF YOUR SEED THAT DO WHAT IS RIGHT ; ALSO THE KID NOT OF YOUR SEED , DOWN THE STREET , WHO DO THE THINGS THAT ARE RIGHT . YOUR KID STAY WITH YOU , BUT THE KID DOWN THE STREET CAN VISIT YOU AT ANYTIME ; BUT THEY ALREADY HAVE A HOME TO LIVE. THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL ARE GOD'S INHERITANCE ; WHICH MEANS THAT HE WILL LIVE IN THE MIDST OF THE ONE'S THAT DO RIGHT FOREEVER ; AND THE GENTILES WHICH RECEIVED THEIR INHERITANCE IN GENESIS 10 , WILL LIVE IN THEIR OWN LAND , BUT HAST THE RIGHT TO VISIT NEW JERUSALEM AT ANYTIME . ONLY THE BELIEVING GENTILES/STRANGERS ,THAT GO TO THE LAND OF ISRAEL DURING THE 1000 YEAR REIGN OF CHRIST KINGDOM , WILL LIVE IN NEW JERUSALEM , IN THE FATHER'S KINGDOM . THEY WILL BECOME PART OF WHATSOEVER TRIBE THEY SOJOURNETH WITH ( EZEKIEL 47 ) . ZECHARIAH 8:23 , 23.Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you. ISAIAH 14:1-2 , 1.For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob. 2.And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors. At minute 29:48 you say that the law was for only the born Nation of Israel but that is wrong, Moses was clear actually it was (God) that was clear, it is for you and the sojourner living among you that's anybody in the group all nations that were in that group. The mixed Multitude. The Egyptians and any other nation that was kicked out of Egypt. (You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: (I am the LORD your God.) There shall be one law for the native and for the stranger who sojourns among you.” One law and one rule shall be for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you. ”Leviticus 24:22)

Thanks, Clayton. If you read the four passages in the OT that talk about “one law“ you’ll notice they are speaking of specific laws, not the law of Moses as a whole. Here’s a teaching we did on it: One Law for the Native and the Stranger kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIjRqICZhLWVi5o Rob

Very good explanation but one point is that in Romans nine Paul doesn't say believers are the new Israel but Children of God and the offspring of Abraham NOT Jacob. Christians go through Isaac NOT Jacob.

The New Testament was put together by Europeans. One could speculate that it was put together to include themselves/graft in. If I’m correct they also changed the permission to eat pork, got people to worship on Sunday etc.

Was membership in God's family ever defined by ethnicity? Even under the old covenant? We have examples of gentiles being absorbed into Israel in Ephraim and Manasseh, possibly Caleb, as well as right I the line of Jesus we have Tamar (Judah's daughter in law) Bathsheba, Rahab and Ruth. And the fact that they all are mentioned in the scripture for their roles in God's plan isn't coincidence. It seems that God was never really interested in keeping bloodlines pure, but in hearts that were pure and committed to him in faith, even before the new covenant, but of course the incarnation, death and resurrection of Christ is and always was the pinnacle of faith. It just seems that you don't really see God ever emphasizing pure ethnicity but the emphasis has always been faithfulness to God and his faithfulness....?
