Good to see strongman trying powerlifting, squat speed was crazy.

For real! I think all those years in strongman really helped him develope those stabilizer muscles....those squats were SOLID

I don't think any Strongman would struggle to cross over really
@IvanRandomDude4 жыл бұрын
@@getstrongby4038 Yeah. Him and Thor hit 1100 after few weeks of specific powerlifting training. They would slay in this sport. But I guess strongmen brings more money and sponsors so most of these uber strong guys chose strongmen. I'd like to see prime Eddie Hall here. His bench would be near 300 kg and his deadlift would be near 420-430. Only on these two lifts he would be at 720-730. And then all he would need is solid 400 kg squat to come close to 1130.
@getstrongby40384 жыл бұрын
@@IvanRandomDude no doubt its probably because there are too many federations and records, it's too confusing. That would be interesting to see, I know zydrunas did some powerlifting meets but I don't think he ever did it while he was at his absolute strongest (2010-2016) Imo at that time he was statically unbeatable
@maxbremer9034 жыл бұрын
@@IvanRandomDude prime eddie could bench 310+kg, he squatted 365kg on an 8ft bar far 8 reps at rpe 8. He could easily squat 450+. His deadlift would be about 420-440 if he trained mixed grip. 1 year of powerlifting for him and he could get a 1200kg total.
