Dude look how calm he was as the croc was dragging him into the water. That is incredible mental strength to not just lose it as your subconscious is telling you, you about to be eaten. Anyone would have struggled, and had their arm taken off.

Absolutely I am still in love with Steve Irwin. My hero Wildlife Warrior. When I had cancer, one of his volunteers sent me an 8x10 autographed picture of Steve, Terri and Bindi. Got it while in the hospital. His show helped make me a wildlife warrior and while filling out forms to be able to volunteer at Australia Zoo, he was killed. your episodes are his legacy of love for animals. thank you.

Stev is incredibly smart for doing rehearsals like that, people learn the fastest by actually acting out what they will be doing. Kids. Stop. Begging. For. Internet. Points. With. Shitty. Questions. Like. That. "anyone watching in ?", "did anyone come here from x?" "did anyone come here after y?" are just begging, it's pathetic. Of course people watch videos on youtube every year, asking about it is stupid. Also, questions end in a question mark.

My dad was just like Steve in personality really positive, genuine, selfless, gave life 110% in every aspect and he absolutely loved animals. Dad plus watching Steve on tv then living in the bush of WA, dad and I as often as we could would go out looking for joeys where their mothers have been hit and killed by a car. Usually the Joey would stand next to its mother and starve so every second day we'd go out for a Roo Rescue as we called it. Majority of the time the Joey was really easy to catch and if you aren't quick enough wedge tail eagles would take them in one swoop then drop them to their end. It was sad yes, but it's also nature and seeing the POWER in the thrust of their wings and the noise I will never forget it! And they're HUGE when they're fully grown. We seen one where we were literally 30 seconds too late, and a wedgie got a Joey and done what I wrote above. I've also heard further south around Bindoon on a mates sheep farm wedgies would grab lambs and do that... nature is incredible! It was so sad but bitter sweet watching something like that happen bc it's nature doing its AWESOME thing! Steve is one of three heroes of mine and I know millions of others too see him as legend and their hero. Words just cannot describe a person like Steve or my dad! Here's one of the best days of my life and a claim to fame. Mum, dad and I had the privilege to meet him in 2003 when drove over from the bush of WA to Queensland where all the extended family was born like me and is living. Dad was in the early stage of a rare cancer and Steve actually gave us 30 minutes out of his absolutely FULL ON schedule. If you've got a schedule then times that by 10,000 and your at Steve's level he is so intense in person like he somehow just smothers you in positivity and passion! And also he's always bloody 10 steps ahead of what's going. Bare with me bc I'm going back years ago and I was nearly in shock and awe just to see Steve face to face. And I've never been like that in my life! So That day he offered dad one of those large tour golf carts the staff use as well bc dad was finding it difficult to walk. And you could see it in his face he was in pain but trying to hide it so we didn't worry about him. When Steve offered it, dad quickly looked around and typically being the selfless person he is as always said in short "those two elderly ladies with their grandkids need it more then me, I'll just take my time" Steve said along these lines "oh ok well we can bounce a stone off two birds (as dad and him were being quick witted and silly, looked at the the elderly "birds" and started laughing) and they can come with us then haha." He asked dad his name again as they were interrupted the first time by Steve's colleague, dad said my mates call me Coops but my name is Graham, and Steve lost it laughing and said, "there's that name and personality trait, Graham our croc has a lot of pride too but he'd swallow it and get on the buggy if he could! Haha! So looks like you're too, here 1,2,3,4,5,6 yep we'll all fit. Come on let's go!" I wish I had a camera that day bc I would of filmed all of it as it was just unreal meeting the man the Australian legend of our time! Anyway he took us around and I've never seen two people so much alike get on and non stop talk, laugh, joke it was surreal and so intense he even got dad going with it hahaha! This memory is burnt into my brain and will stay with me for the rest of my life. I just wish I could remember some more of their conversations bc holy shit Steve had some witty but dirty jokes that would make stripper blush LoL 😂 But yeah, 2005 one Aussie hero of mine died not far from my house and I didn't get the privilege to meet him. But I seen him racing the targa west rally. Then 2006 mine and hundreds of millions of others favourite Aussie hero died tragically. Australia still grieves for you Steve mate. Then 2007 as I was hugging my dad telling him I love him and I'm so proud of everything he's done for my sister and I. You're the best dad anyone could ever ask for. He was in a coma but I knew he could hear us. I know this bc he slipped into a coma the night before and then waited an hour for my sister and I to get there, and 15 minutes later as I'm hugging and talking to him he exhaled his last breath. 3 great men on my dad wasn't Hollywood or Australian idol type famous, BUT, he was a legend to everyone that met and knew him all across towns and cities of Australia and I'm not saying this bc he's my dad, but there was not one bad thing you could ever say about him. He's give you the shirt off his back if you asked for it and it would help you. Why are the good people of the world taken so so early in their life? And the real nasty negative, whining, selfish people, which I've crossed paths with many, are left until a ripe old age? To me that is the million dollar question! You're loved by all Steve and constantly grieved over. If we ever get a trade system happening mate, to bring the good people back to earth, by sending negative, selfish, self centred, dictators like Kim Jong-un and those alike to oblivion, I know for fact you would be in first class and first inline, and you'll be back in a heartbeat with the killer stingray in one hand hanging by it's tail, a thumbs up in the other and a shout yelling eye popping CRICKEY! Did you get a load of that beautiful creature!! Hahaha!!

Wow!! What a wonderful lot of brilliant memories you have of your Dad. That is such a blessing for you as well as for your Dad. He'll never ever really be gone because so much of him is alive in you, your sister and all the people who love him so dearly. The same can be said for Steve. He'll never really be gone. Thank you for sharing your story. I loved reading it and having the chance to reflect on how much of a difference one single person can make. Be blessed my friend!

Steve Erwin was the one and only conservationist who I felt came anywhere close to DAVID Atenborough with his genuine passion and love of all animals. Such a loss but his wonderful family have done a superb job in his name.

If Percy from Small Foot the 🍿 was invited to Australia Zoo and make his show Percy Patterson’s Wildlife so educational I really wished Steve Irwin could teach him how to make people understand wildlife differently Like every little snake 🐍 is gorgeous and every crocodile 🐊 was little beauty

Steve Irwin is a role model to this day. All kids should grow up watching the Irwin family's TV series, whether it's "Croc hunter, Crikey! It's the Irwins!", or Bindi's show when she was a child. Amazing guy, that Steve.
