I don't understand why they are so expensive, maybe because they are niche product with the addition of the panorama/parallax bar system. Basic sliders are a lot more affordable if you just need simple slide movements.

Many thanks for the video. You are a genius Graham! I hadn't realised there was a difference between the angles of parallax until you pointed it out. I am building two sliders based on the GVM motorised slider principle so this information is invaluable to me. It would be a great help if you could measure the distance between the centre of the carriage and the centre of the parallax bearing assembly. I could then compare it to my GVM 80cm slider. One of the parallax/panorama bars I am building will be on a 2m long, 50cm wide track!

I've built several of my own basic motorised sliders but none match the functionality of the panorama/parallax system used in this model. The gearbox drive also adds a higher payload capacity - especially useful for vertical shots.
