Great suggestion, although the AF system isn't particularly suited to BIF there are some ways to increase hit rates. As soon as we can go out without restriction and the weather warms up I'll give it a shot.

Thank you very much Graham. My friend in the UK has just started with a macro lens for her DSLR and I've always felt a bit behind using the bridge camera, but this video has given me the confidence to have a go. :)

How come you Arnt using the DMW-LA8? Panasonic recommends this adapter with DMW-LC55E Btw is DMW-LC55E achromatic unlike DMW-LC55? Thanks in advance for any response

Why do you need a separate software package to focus stack with the FZ82 when it already has focus stacking built in?

Graham, I've just taken delivery of a manufacturer refurbished FZ82 from Panasonic Outlet on eBay for £180 (40% off RRP) -- it's as good as brand new! -- and I'm raring to get started. Your videos helped me make the purchasing decision (versus a Canon Powershot SX60), so hat-tip to you. I was particularly interested in this video because a project at the top of my list is to digitise and edit (with Photoscape X) my archive of 35mm and 120 6 x 6 film negatives -- yes, I'm old-school; some date back to 1974 -- and I understand that to do this, I'll be needing a macro lens to get the negative image as large and as sharp as possible in the frame. So I'm wondering if you have done this kind of exercise yourself and, if so, what advice you can offer on choice of macro lens -- and wondering whether you might consider digitising negatives with an FZ80/82 a good subject for a future video. Many thanks, and keep up the good -- no, superlative -- work.
