I really think that sometimes using scriptures to talk to God reminding Him of what He has already done is great way to get God to help you in a situation. I love this for Josh. That testimony in itself is enough to keep Him rooted. You can always go back to it you know. And fast! Hearing this shows me the importance of it!

Is he a Christian or a Christian artist? I went to his spotify page to try to listen to his songs but it seems a lot of them are explicit and actually point to the world and dishonoring to God. Maybe i’m missing something, i had thought this channel was towards individuals (creators) who honor God in their art and living? Or is it more geared towards individuals (creators) who acknowledge that God and Jesus exist and may have influenced their journey?

I think this was a great, genuine question! I started to search around to support Josh’s music after watching this video and had some of the same feelings. I think Buku is doing a great job creating a platform to give space for conversations like this. These conversation also create an opportunity for people to be called higher and see God more clearly, to honor Him with more of their lives

It is well. I ponder a lot on “many are called, few are chosen”. I think few are chosen because the many fall into the trap of wanting to live both lives- Acknowledge Jesus is Savior and God is love but not surrender in all things to Him as Supreme and Sovereign. Matthew 24:10&11 keeps reminding me it’s more important to live in alignment to God’s Word than to create cool spaces the world mutually agrees on. I would hate for a new or struggling Christian to view any of the artists lives as role models or examples to follow because they feel these conversations mean the artists are living for God because they are well spoken about God or His principles. & this is not a backlash, the church is hating, being super christian etc, etc. It is that each one of us must carry our responsibility well and be ready to defend whatever choice, message- implied or explicit, or lifestyle we showcase to the world when the time to face our Creator and Judge comes. Many are called, but few are chosen. Many will say “Lord Lord, I did X in your name”, but He will say, “Depart from me, I never knew you.” I pray in Jesus name, we will all be among the chosen that persevere wholly to the end. Jude 1 vs 24 ❤️

After watching his videoclip “birthday dance” it actually made me really sad because we are living in a world where there is a lot of lust and temptation. And his videoclip makes it clear. I went to look up his music cause of your comment and I agree with your comment, it is a lustful video. But for me personally it was more convicting than confusing because I actually listen and enjoy this genre of music from time to time. Therefore I’m just as guilty 🫣Needless to say I love Jesus with all my heart. I try to stay in prayer as much as I can and live by the word and literally nothing is more important than my relationship with Christ. What I have realized though is that Christianity is not a one time act, it’s a journey. Just like when Jesus healed the 10 lepers by telling them to go to the priests and they were cleansed as they went, that’s how God changes us, we just need to keep going in the way he directs us and with every step we are changed. 🙏🏼
