Never, ever will there be a group of pickers and singers as this group. Once in our lifetime we were given this privilege. Great pickers.

Thank God we are able to recall fond memories of these absolutely incredibly God gifted talented performers! String Bean, Grandpa, Roy Clark, Bobby Thompson! We were truly blessed to see these folks. So sad that they are gone and may they rest in peace! I don't think we will ever see such talented claw hammer banjo pickers ever again! 😢😢

You are absolutely right! It was so horrific what happened to String Bean and his wife. I couldn’t imagine how Grandpa Jones felt when he found their bodies the next morning! It’s awful what some people will do to try and get their hands on someone else’s money or property. It’s so sad those wonderfully talented people are gone, but I imagine they’re up in Heaven picken’ and a grinnen’!!! 💕💕💕🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💕💕💕

What a great group of entertainers! Grandpa Jones and Stringbean played the old clawhammer style of banjo. Roy Clark and Bobby Thompson played 3 finger style popularized by Earl Scruggs. Yet they blended well together. Scruggs replaced Stringbean in Bill Monroe's Blue Grass Boys. This was apparently before Roni Stoneman joined the cast. Talk about editing! How did Grandpa make it to the other set so fast? Also, could some of those ladies sit down in those short dresses?

Hee Haw was a great show. You could never make that show again because by the time they got is cast you wouldn't have any real pickers and players but you would have a couple gays, some transgenders, and a range of other quota hires and the Hee Haw Honeys would be a bunch of guys in drag.
