My parents had a 1976 Ford LTD Country Squire. I could tell wouldn't hit your head on the roof. My dad was 5,11" and always put the seat buttons, you can lower the seat and he would move the seat back and slide his butt a little forward. so he wouldn't bump up. At 5'8" I still experience the same issue. But setting it lower works better but not perfect. The Torino Wagon would be the same.

First, a wagon of that era without a roof rack is so rare I can't remember ever seeing one before, and it really slickens it up. Second, that GV unit is worth about half the value of the car, and you know the cheapest bang for your performance buck would be to swap those highway gears for something in the mid-threes. The 3.42 in that 2+2 is what made your eyes get big when you first nailed it.
