The japanese version has a more realistic rally and you can play it very differently than the us version

You can get a Supra Twin Turbo from the start!? My god. That car can take you through most of the game with upgrades.

Indeed, I've had a bit of fun dominating earlier events with this car. Though I never modified it, I just bought faster cars.

@@harizotoh7 You mean the AE86 Trueno? Yes, you can start with it and it'll do okay at the beginning with a couple of mods. Not quite as good as the Supra go. No matter which version of GT2 you play imo.
@RodSlS5 жыл бұрын
I still prefer the japanese version even though I play both versions, the japanese ver. has the jpn cars that I like and the race soundtracks (yeah they're completely different soundtracks in comparison to the North American version) and for the nostalgic feeling as well since I got GT2 jpn in '99 when I was a kid, well the jpn writing never bothered me, of course I would apply some mod to modify it to my language if it existed lol

In the japanese version there's a cheat code that can enable Acura.

Is your Japanese rom later released one? The new car line up page 3 at Nissan dealership is listed in English in Japanese early rom.
@RandomCarGuy176 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I imagined that I downloaded a later released Japanese rom if what you said is true.
@RandomCarGuy176 жыл бұрын
Here you go everyone, my fixed version as promised. It shouldn't glitch up at the part showing the Nissan dealership anymore. For people that commented before, I apologize that your comments got deleted in the mix. You're going to have to leave a comment again. Other notes: - I intended on recording the Focus Focus Rally Car in the video to showcase the missing stripe on the US release versus the one in the Japan version, but it looks like the Valvoline decal is still there. I guess when people say they noticed the Valvoline decal missing, they might be referring to GT2 Version 1.2. So yeah, if you have Version 1.0 or 1.1 like me; you should still see the decal. - I might compare GT2 version 1.0 to 1.2 in the future to compare some significant changes between releases. However, that's for another time. There's still other videos I want to do prior to another comparison. - The Acura Integra Type Rs in the US version of GT2 are inaccurate to the real versions. The real Acura Integra Type Rs have a similar bodykit to the Japan Spec Integra Type Rs. There was never a 1995 Acura Integra Type R as Type R models didn't hit US shores until 1997. Throughout the car's life, the Acura ITR only came in white, black, and yellow as colors. - Similar case for the Integra, the Acura NSXs for the most part are inaccurate, there were never Type S or Type S Zero models released into the US. The closest we got to a Type S was the Alex Zanardi edition.

Pretty nice video. 👍🏻 You might want to take a look at the game's TCRF article, it was recently updated with a new revisional differences page. Could be useful for your next comparison video.

@RandomCarGuy17 At the replay screen, why does the one on the US version just say "Demo" while the other on the Japanese version had specific titles?
@RandomCarGuy176 жыл бұрын
The names on the demonstrations are left there by Polyphony Digital for both, so I guess they didn't bother showcasing replays for the US version.

RandomCarGuy17 The US version gives you 10000 dollars while the Japanese version gives you a million. What is the difference between the two?
@RandomCarGuy176 жыл бұрын
The currency, credits in Gran Turismo change in according to the region it is sold in. The us release bases its currency on US dollars of course while the Japanese version has credits based on yen. In which, is Japan's own currency.

@RandomCarGuy17 Why is Acura not in the Japanese Version of the game?

why cars are so expensive in Japan version?
@RandomCarGuy174 жыл бұрын
They're technically not. The Japanese version is just basing credits on Japan's own currency, which is yen. 100,000 yen is close to 1,000 US dollars for instance. The other Japan releases of GT games probably do the same thing.
