For anyone curious, the car accelerating on its own is the oversteer/understeer mechanic, it's trying to send power to certain wheels to try to keep the car from spinning out or understeering into a wall

I think the reason for the delayed start at 11:36 is because the game is calculating the horsepower via a turbo that makes WhistlinDiesel piss his pants and the engine can’t produce enough horsepower at just above its idle RPM

You can stretch each individual gear to increase top speed, the gears only need to have a slight overlap if you have the power to get out of idle/reach the redline.

I think the driveshaft from a rotory engine might multiply hp due displacement of non rotory engines and that a custom engine with more than 2 liters the power to torque ratio bugs

The super slow build up starts could have been severe turbo lag. I remember having a special edition Nissan (im sure it was nissan) yellow with magenta writing. I put a stage 4 turbo in it and it look a good minute for it get enough revs to start moving. I can't remember if it was good car or not to drive, but it definately moved

Can't u tune each gear ratio individually with full custom ain't played gt in a while but I'm sure its possible to push it. As you where adjusting final drive gears can be lengthened one by one

To be fair, to get your max speed, you can just drive the Test Cours backwards a few rounds. It still counts to your max speed. thats how i did it. that 1 Lap isnt enough to get a good resoult.

A little tip: chaparral 2j gearbox is the best for drag racing. It can even make it's 1000hp engine up to 500km/h if if you lower the gear ratios Also it has low torque because it has only 3 gears.

This happens to me when I mix exhaust upgrades and/or turbo/na upgrades on cars that don’t take them usually. The weird beat sound you hear when idling happens when you have a racing engine without a racing exhaust.
