Great Video, again! Here is another tip concerning texts: To make text decals, especially the ones with no outline, more prominent, copy the decal, choose the one in the back, paint it black and move it slightly to the right down, or up, or left down or up. This will create a shadow making the decal standing out from the background, while it also gives depth to the image. It works even better for decals which have an outline. In fact you can use it on any logo decal, provided there are not thin lines in it. Try it out and see for your self. Lastly a warning: Be careful not to have in your personal library the same decal twice. This can happen because, as it happened very recently, from time to time GT7 updates your library with the decals you shared in GTS. Then decals already in your library will be transferred again. For some reason out of my comprehension, doubled decals will show in your library but will be not be visible on your car. Beats me! :)

I just was about to mention this. But for example if you want letters or number decals more prominent you can copy the same decal without having to scale it, move it up or down or adjust it further. You just gotta leave it there as it is. The more copy you make of that same decal, the more prominent it is going to be.

@@shoya_dori Yes, exactly and it is actually sad on behalf of the game: No matter how high res and crisp you create your own decals, the game scales them down. I was actually hoping for some technical improvements in the GT7, simple stuff like grouping objects, adjusting opacity, even increasing if only by just a bit the max decal size from 15k to 20-25, use of special colors for decals, like gold, silver, individual textures for decals, stuff like that but I guess I was aiming too high! :) Anyway, for those who create and upload decals like me, this game has a big set back, actually by the number of 100. We can now have max 900 decals instead of 1000. In GTS on both my accounts I have over 1500 self created ones. Many people use my decals I share them almost all. The automatic transfer does not make them available to people in GT7 and I have to share them again but on the other hand I am crating new ones , so I have to choose what to keep and what to delete. Not an easy task.

Absolutely love these livery videos. As someone that is just getting into doing liveries I'm finding it hard to make figure out out to use the shapes and controls effectively so watching these types of videos are a huge help. Please keep them coming. If you wanted to post every livery you design, I'm sure there are people out there that would tune in.

Already knew a lot of "tricks" from your videos (like projection cam/surface, depth, angle) but it downed on me that I had no idea about skewing shapes ! Man this will unlock so much possibilities !! One thing I took too is the fact that you can search for stickers directly from the livery editor, don't know why I was never checking this way when I don't find an appropriate shape. Regarding the tip at 3:02, it looks like the resulting shape on the other side is a bit different, it does not cover exactly the same areas. Thanks a lot for taking the time to make those videos, there are lot of things to catch. No I "just" need good ideas to make nice liveries, knowing the techniques is not enough alas.

Align with Camera depth to colour the opposite side, doesn't always line up in the correct place on large pieces. I wanted to write something on the back of the car, I spent hours learning a new program so I could save SVGs.

Great video... But I have a question❓ How can I extend the editing area of the windshield banner. Like if I wanted a word or phrase to extend to the corners. On the new DLC car, the GAC Ford Maverick, the editing area is really short. Which leaves my livery looking kinda small.

Hey Chris, you can paint the banner area different colors but can really extend the editable area unfortunately. Speaking of the maverick, how are you liking it? I’ve been working on a review video for it and find it to be a pretty cool car.

I just started getting into fades, but still have problems with them. Is it possible for you to make a video about all the kinds of fades one can do using the presets? Another comment on the UK plate from a UK subscriber, that plate is late 2003, it could be found on that car, but it's unlikely because standard issue players aren't often used as vanity players

@@GTJesse easy mistake to make, a lot of people here don't notice, bit the first two letters is the location the car was registered at, for example MN and MW would both be originally registered in Manchester, then the two numbers are the year of registration, 2015 as an example would be XX15 XXX from February to July and XX65 XXX August to January, though I might have the months slightly off, then the last 3 are effectively random, unless you're going for a vanity plate that is

Thank YOU, I've done a few liveries on GT7, nothing close to some magnificent art thats there out. I've resorted too imported some of my old GT Sport cars, because a lot of the old decals are no longer avalible. I've been thinking of making my own and importing them but not going on-line to show them only in a quick series of race photos of race/ time attack/ drift run, so It becomes rare to see pics or having followers without begging people to follow and like me like the desperate self glorifying people of the world. With some of these tips will help myself and millions because not everyone wants shift through half naked anime characters just to find a skin that you had to search for. I coundn't figure out how to save the decals instead of constantly having to keep searching for the same decal multiple times. Going to show case just to find decals suck because you get tired of saying thank you for a decal to use once and then forget what your looking for without even building a car wasting time. Thank You once again

You can’t really apply a curve, the decal itself has to be curved when you upload it

Very good car for lemans 700pp en 800 pp en francorchamps 😊

Lemans 700 pp I found the fastest is a r34 girl with the roll cage and aero parts. Swapping the race car engine in. And weight reduction racing clutch etc. You have to de tune it to 700pp and it smokes everyone by 2 mins plus always and gets excellent gas mileage. You usually have to pit for rain on those so keep fuel rich. Going lean I got about 42 mins of fuel on last weeks weekly hour race we had using it. I set the top speed to 340kph. I'm about ti try an r33 with the same engine swap.
