Yes, in fact they have forgotten a "small detail" in the trailer... The real first winner of the gtacademy was the Spanish "Lucas Ordóñez" (2008). And this one (Lucas), became a "mentor" / "teacher" of the pilots who participated in that edition of the gtacademy that Jann Mardenborough won (2011). There are videos of the "very funny" edition where Lucas Ordóñez "hits them" knowing that he himself was another PS3 player on the couch. However, Lucas Ordóñez's advice is gold for these new pilots. That's why it's annoying to see that he's not even in the trailer.

sony doesnt have that kind of influence on the sport, its more the other way around. The devs have to negotiate licensing before they're allowed to use real world vehicles and liveries. Hence why GT often has RUF instead of Porsche. 100% on the money about the movie though, looks like hack trash. We've come a long way from Vanishing Point and Le Mans to a car movie landscape thats really fucking cringe
