Best moment in the LN is where the Lizardmen noticed that Shalltear's "clap" did in fact not un-summon the monsters, it killed them. The force of her hands clapping... Killed all those monsters and wiped them out completely. That's the level of power we are dealing with here.

She used Priest skill "Turn Undead" it makes enemy undead FLEE from you unless you are MASSIVELY more powerful than then, which she is, so they just died instantly. Only few of Lizardman had enough knowladge to truly understand that Shalltear must be an godlike priestess, AND she only SERVES under Ainz. This few who got it lost any remnants of hope they had.

​@@magearamil8626 Can't remember reading that in the LN. All it stated was that she clapped her hands, and the shock-wave itself from that clap was enough to destroy them utterly. That was either pure raw physical strength, or a skill like "thunderclap". Its unlikely that it was Turn Undead. Higher Level Clerics can instantly destroy lower leveled undead with it instead of fending them off, much like Roberdyck did at the invasion of the Great Tomb. If Shalltear would have used that skill, she would have needed to use a holy icon to focus the power from (but likely she has a feat or extra power to allow her to cast Cleric spells without the need of a holy symbol) but also, you would have seen rays of light coming from the palm of her hand, rather then a shock wave from clapping. At least that's what I gathered from reading the LN. It only shows that moment from the point of vieuw from the Lizardmen, its never specifically mentioned how Shalltear destroyed those undead. Just that from their point of view, those strong and rare undead were wiped out without a trace in the blink of an eye, with just a casual clap of the hands.

@@peasantlord135 Nah that's Old Guarder (semi elite which requires Yggdrasil gold to summon). There are Master Guard (elite) and Royal Guard (bodyguard type) as well. Master Guard rock silver armor while Royal Guard rock golden armor with level 45 and 55 respectively. Death Knight is around 40 (which is free for Nazarick since Ainz used magic to summon them every day from corpse) and he had a couple legions of death knight. I believe and Nazarick can field several legions of those. There are also soul eater (horse-like creature that Nazarick used as horse even though they are lvl 60). In other word, Nazarick regular troops are so OP that they can consider boss monster by new world standards. In the latest novel, 2 Master guards almost raze half of a country when put in command of trash pop monsters from Nazarick.

If I remember correctly, it was described in the LNs that those undead messengers didn’t disappear because their summoner Ainz unsummoned them (I forget the proper term for this). No, when Shalltear clapped her hands, she DESTROYED the messengers. Just one of the messengers is frightening enough to induce the fear status effect, and just one can hold its own against an adventurer group (some details may be inaccurate; politely correct me if that’s the case). Shalltear swatted them away with less effort than giving a round of applause. Yet another flex from the forces of Nazarick.

So this is my favorite anime. I love anime where the main character is like stupidly overpowered. I've seen this anime over a dozen times (everytime I try looking up when the next season will be released, I end up watching it all over again). I'm currently reading the light novel. It's awesome how closely they made the anime from the source material and how well done they did. There are two instances I can think of that stand out the anime did better. The use of the phrase "Royal Precession" to describe this scene and later own the anime shows Ainx try to think a proverb. The light novel says, "while thinking of a proverb, Ainz accidentally says aloud, 'ten thousand years'"... But in the anime they actually have him cite the actual proverb (which the light novel doesn't even mention)... Ainz: "(How did they proverb go, cranes live for a thousand years, and turtles live for) ten thousand years"

Can anyone let me know if my math is wrong? I estimated nearly 28,000 skeletons being used for stairs in this scene. I used the area of a triangle using 40 skeletons as a base and it being 70 skeletons tall. There seemed to be at least 20 skeletons for the width of the front of the staircase so I did 40x70x20= 56,000/2 to get the area or in this case total number of skeletons used. Cause in this math problem were using Nazerick Old Guarders as a unit of measurement. If my calculations are true then the Nazerick Old Guarders themselves are almost the same number as 3 Legions of the Bahmut Empire or close to a tenth of the number of forces the Kingdom uses in the Battle of Katze Plains. These numbers are far more than what was described in the light novel which was around 3,000.

Minions yes armies no. And all the skeletons depicted here are Nazerick Guard which in the light novel are described to be around level 30 (for the more numerous lower ranked ones they get stronger but fewer in number as the ranks progress. The silver armored ones being second strongest and the golden armored ones the elite ones). Honestly Its basically an issue with Scaling with Madhouse depicting this scene. They choose to upscale it for visual effect to make it seem more impressive visually. Its honestly one of the few diversions they made from the light novels that I can tell. Its honestly more skeletons in the staircase then we see originally marching in this same scene!

That also means that the author did an oopsie. Ainz only called 3000 Nazarick Old Guarders with the Elder Guard and Master Guard, so it should have been 28k.

Unsure where you got the other 25k skeletons. Cause the skeletons used for the Staircase is entirely made up of Nazerick Old Guarders. No Elder and Master Guards are apart of the staircase.

the guild hasn't, but Momonga did get defeated until TouchMe saved him, early on (which was depicted in the anime, probably in more detail in the LN). In the new world, it's essentially a New Game Plus for Momonga, starting over with max level and weapons.
