Celebration is a biennial festival of Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian cultures held in the Southeast Alaska community of Juneau. The four-day event includes dance performances and associated events such as a Native art market, lectures, a juried art show and competition, traditional food contests, and a parade through downtown Juneau. First held in 1982, Celebration has grown into one of the largest events in Alaska, drawing thousands of people.

Watching the energy build as the dancers enter and STAY no longer feels that way when they are made to leave right after entering. Watching a powow recently the person sitting next to me commented on that as well on how the engery was there at the powow just like Celebration used to be but now it's gone. "Fire Marshal" Codes or not, it should be brought back. ^_^
