2:12 although that move is not calculated, but the stasis locking the ravagers to block the ramp is a godlike play. It allowed the adepts to take down the lair for free and that move literally won the game.

That stasis trap in game 1 sent me back to the days before ravagers, when Toss would fill a warp prism with sentries, fly into your main, and then just endlessly force field the ramp while warping in and destroying your base as you sat there helplessly. Absolutely rage-inducing.

Man, Stats was so on point for all 3 games. He read Serral so well, always knew what to build and when to move out before the corruptor/viper deathball could happen to shut down the carriers. He even got out of the bad situations perfectly (adept lair snipe + god tier forcefields to answer the roaches game 1, the game 2 cyber core save, the disruptor hits game 3.) Just crazy to watch!

As I have stated on another site Serral's claim is that the abused the game mechanics of the zerg's at the time as they were OP in 2018 He is NO Reynor as Reynor is able to adapted really well to the changes in the game. His winnings in 2020 and now 2021 are very telling.

I've long considered him the best Protoss since around 2016 or 2017. Some other toss have been very good (Classic, Zest sometimes, Trap) but I still consider Stats the strongest for many years now overall. Very great player!

Is it me or we are in a situation where a Protoss that can go Air is almost certainly the winner, at any level? The few games I saw a Zerg win, it was due to a astronomic micro level and patience, while Protoss simply have to engage correctly. Not whining, juste wondering. I'm an occasional random player, Diamond league.

Timing issue. The ultimate zerg late game army can simply a-move and crush skytoss, but it's take much longer time for zerg to transition from the mid-game army(mass hydras) to enough amount of corruptors and broodlords. There is always a timing that skytoss is very strong. But if the game go further, the skytoss army will be cost-inefficient. There are many late game zerg wins recently, ex: Solar vs Showtime. However, it takes longer time. Note that the recent patch doesn't buff any fire power of skytoss. The difference is that the cost and the time consuming for voidray production which leads to the earlier timing.

Moreover, Serral prepared mid-game strategy in the final. Therefore, it is far more difficult to transit to late game than usual situation if the plan fails. Too many investments are on hydras (they are too cost inefficient!!!).
