Being a drummer myself most people have NO idea how hard it is to play drums, keep proper time AND sing at the same time....it take a LOT of practice
@vincentzito39332 жыл бұрын
I know I have to go on stage and do this song in a few weeks and I'm the drummer... I also sing Love me two times and Cry to me in my band. Love me two times has been hard as a mother fucker to sing and play at the same time. Cry to me, not so hard. But yes it takes practice and it throws your rhythm off if you think too hard. 🤣🤣🤣

Loudest rock band ever recorded. Saw them in '75 at the Waterbury, CT Palace Theater. They were so loud, there were noise complaints from 3 blocks away and the Waterbury cops tried to stop the show. Didn't happen. GFR were banned from returning. Seems they caused a few cracks in the building and all future bands had to sign a maximum DB sound level clause. I saw Black Sabbeth there several years later, and they were not as loud as they were when I'd seen them in the past at a different venue.

I love GFR and always have. What they did to Mark Farner is beyond forgiveness. Mark wrote most of the songs and did the vocals on the majority of the songs. Mark was GFR!!

First heard these men live in Nacogdoches, Texas 1972(ish). They were in old Shelton gym. About 6 months later Chicago, Three Dog Night, and the Brothers Doobie had all played on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University. Good tunes for a $5.00 ticket. I was 12 and still remember the pot smell being so strong you could literally smell it BLOCKS north because of the summer breeze from the south. They were excellent ...still are.

Just saw GFR Saturday night in Kannapolis NC On their 50th anniversary tour. Went in with low expectations and boy was I mistaken. Fantastic show. Sounded great in an amphitheater setting.
