Great break from the swamp. I used to have a camp on the corner of Evan's Canal in Fourchon (camp name was "Point Taken"). We crabbed every weekend we were down there. Things really turned on following the third weekend in May,,,, specs, reds, and mangrove around the rocks (and crabs). Then came Katrina. r/EW

What a great family Adventure. Ya know there is a cajun that has a recipe for hermit crab 😅 I can see it now a hermit crab boil video 😊. Trawling twine works good, not to big, & shower hooks. Pass the hooks through the turkey necks & clamp them back. Put some weights to keep the line on the bottom.

Thanks for taking me back to my old stomping grounds, it's been a while. When y'all go back for a weekend trip, try floundering with a light and gig in the same area after dark in about a foot of water. Look for the outline of the flounder in the sand, but watch out for the small stingrays! Glad that y'all had a Great Trip!🦀👍🦀

It’s really nice out there now, especially from about 20-30 yrs ago. But man whenever y’all get back home you should Dip those Ring-Nets in some shrimp net dip or mix some tar & gas together so that the tar is not so thick, an dip them in that. Then it won’t be so hard to get them Crabs out of your Ring-Nets buddy

You'll get more crabs if you let the chicken sit in the sun for a day and get really stinky. Try it you'll see! Make sure to wear latex gloves though. Love the video!
