On which date (dd; mm) these races were held .. in these "Money Gassen" ... of this noble country? Is there any Series B and/or H? The track announcer switched between French, Italian and English, but neither I understood nearly nothing of the words, nor I have learned French and/or Italian at school. There was much less track side commercial than at the Formula 1 Grand Prixes! The Tennis tournaments "Monte Carlo" Masters are usually held in a nearby French City, whose inhabitants also speak Monaguese.
@Totsprod3 жыл бұрын
the races were this week end, you can find the full live rediffusion in english on youtube. There was indeed a serie B, the F1 cars from the period post war to 1961. But it was the first in the morning and I wasn't there. For the moment there isn't any period H, maybe in 2-3 years we will see it coming, with the turbo F1 era. Yes for the commercial because the historic races involves almost only amateur pilots and is less popular than modern. For the Monte Carlo Masters, it takes place in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, but in fact the part where is the tennis ground is stuck to Monaco's frontier, and is Rented to them by Roquebrune since many years. But in Roquebrune we speak french, and in Monaco the Monégasque is learned by students as a secondary language because almost everybody talk french too.

@@jcgabriel1569 good to hear but arent these cars kinda priceles? I mean even after repair they wont be completely period, and that has to effect the price
@jcgabriel15693 жыл бұрын
@@rainblaze. No, as far as I know, the crashes did not affect the price negatively, in fact, it's a plus point, since it is being raced, that means the car is running, not sitting around, getting stuck up and gathering dust and slowly corroding. You, as the owner, might have to shell some money to pay for the repairs, but the value of the car itself won't suffer. Unless they made a complete mess of the repairs, which is highly unlikely... You had to do some really bad, deliberate damage to make the car lose its value a little, like that British man I read about, who, many years ago, cut up and buried his cars (and by that I mean they dismantled the cars and cut up the bodywork and chassis frames using an electric circular saw and then buried the remains around his property) in an attempt to commit insurance fraud...

@Totsprod3 жыл бұрын
the fraser nash ( the green one ) was already 1 lap late of all the others, and just before was overtaken by 2 cars again, you can see it on the official live, moreover when this happen the race official shake a blue flag to tell to the concurrent : be careful you have someone behind you one lap ahead of you, please let him pass. So The Maserati driver just thought he would let him pass and tried to overtake it but it wasn't the case. So It's just an unhappy accident, the maserati tried to overtake, the fraser nash didn't saw it coming, boom... But we must remember that they are not professional drivers like in the modern race, the cars are hard to drive, and Monaco is a difficult circuit..

@Totsprod3 жыл бұрын
Honestly I think that if they can they do it, but I think that some models like the matra have their original motors since they didn't made that much...But It's not disqualifying in any historic race to not have the matching motor with the car if you still have the same model, and you know nowadays with modern technology the motors are even more competitive, like the Cosworth V8 as example.

Even more disappointing to see them sit in a museum, or worse, some private collection where it will just sit in a big fancy garage doing nothing... That's an even worse death for a racing car... Because, while they look good sitting like that, the moving parts start to get stuck, and everything starts to corrode, the metal degrading. Basically the car slowly disintegrates in front of your eyes, and it's got nothing to show for it...
