Question: is the sunload sensor located on the right or left? I see that there are 2 similar looking on both sides on my car and I'm confused if there are 2 sunload sensors or 1 and on which side PS: I have a B1504 sunload sensor error - code for sensor is 9564254J01 just not sure if I need just 1

Typically only one, which side may depend on if it’s a right or left hand drive. Sun sensors can fail during the self test if the test is not conducted in direct strong sunlight. But are completely functional. If you are not experiencing any problems, I wouldn’t recommend acting on that code in isolation. A more comprehensive test is with a scan tool that can read live data from the climate control system, it will display data from the sun load sensor in Watts/Sq. Meter, and will vary in value under changes in lighting. Thx for watching. 👍🍀🍻

@@TheGibby3340 Thanks, I'll try to read the code again with a portable led projector on the sensor. Last time I did it it was day but maybe not intense sunlight.

1:09 If these conditions have been met if you still have a sun load sensor failure. Check with a scan tool in live data W/M squared output. Failing this the sensor/wiring is faulty. Highly unlikely. Cheers 👍

@@TheGibby3340 When it's cold outside, my heating blows cold air up and hot air down. It doesn't matter if you set the position selector only down, or up and down at the same time. At 22 degrees up it's cold, at 24 degrees it's cold, but my feet are starting to get warm. The engine temperature always seems to be right at 90º. I've seen that by using the AC compressor this effect is reduced a bit, but it still happens. It's very heavy to drive, especially at night, when you don't get heat through the windows and you have to set the temperature to 26 to get cold air upstairs, and it looks like hell downstairs. In the official workshop they can't find any mistakes, everything seems OK. The fault appears when you've been driving for a while. Taking the dashboard apart, it looks like all the doors are moving. I don't know where to look any more. Any bubbles in the circuit? The shop ruled it out and didn't make the connection that the problem would come out when it was cold outside. I checked the HVAC with an OBD reader and found no faults, I'll try your test, see if it monitors differently. What can make such a big difference in temperature between the upper and the lower zone? The evaporator is common to the whole circuit, isn't it? Thanks in advance! Any comments are welcome.

Guillermo Tome Sanchez I suspect you have an issue with your temperature control/air flow control actuators or the door/flapper(s) they control. I am not certain but I believe these actuators are all the same part number on some models...meaning same connector configuration...meaning it may even be possible to have the harness going to the wrong actuator as the temp and air flow actuators are physically next to each other. Having 2 different issues with the system seems very usual indeed. Consult the manual. Confirm harness to actuator is correct by wire colour coding....You did not specify, I assume your Grand Vitara is near Identical configuration (auto A/C) 2011 +/- model year. Did this defect occur suddenly? Was previous work carried out?...unknown?
@gts73144 жыл бұрын
@@TheGibby3340 Sorry, you are right, , my model is a 2013 diesel with the same HVAC as yours (auto A/C). I'm not the first owner, so unfortunately I don't know how it worked before. I'll check your hypothesis, I hadn't really fallen for that possibility. Thanks for your idea!
@TheGibby33404 жыл бұрын
GTS It’s just a thought. Because the actuators May be all identical the system self test may not recognize the failure but temp and air flow control will be completely Unsynchronized. Good luck...Cheers
