Hello Tim, As a blind child, I found colourful toys a little boring, but give me something that moved, clockwork as opposed to battery and I'd be quiet for ages. I remember two such toys, both around 1960. The first was a railway in the shape of a figure eight. It came with a clockwork engine, and one carriage. It shunted the carriage a distance, then left it, and eventually picked it up again. The other was my favourite. A platform with a key in the middle. Two cars placed on a track on the outside. When wound up, a car was pulled through a tunnel, ran down a hill independently, and whilst that was happening, the other car was picked up. I've looked for that toy for a very long time, but can't find it anywhere. Many thanks for all your videos, which I find fascinating.

Tim must be the best child ever, safely keeping those toys clean and intact for six decades! My toys won't even last a year. Although then again, they don't make toys like it used to, it seems like the quality is purposely getting worse.
