The vase has a double-wall, and there is a small hole in the inner wall. Fill the vase with water, and gradually the space between the inner and outer wall will fill with water. You can then empty the vase, but after a few minutes, you will find there is more water in the vase. Water is slowly trickling from between the inner and out wall through the small hole, into the main vase.

@@insaneasilas, Uh... No. There's a tube extending down from the opening of the vase nearly to the bottom. When the vase is right way up, the water is able to get into the tube from the bottom. When he tips it up, the water that's in the tube pours out, but the rest is left around the tube inside the vase. If it was just a smaller container full of holes inside a larger one, it would leak continuously instead of only letting a little out at a time.

I always loved wind up toys, and the fact someone has actually made a few pneumatic toys is just even cooler to me. I agree, anything air powered is actually quite neat. It's no wonder why I still love things like Air pressure Nerf blasters. The mechanics behind them are truly interesting stuff.

There is a ball inside of the vase, it gets stuck with the rope as he puts it upside down and pulls. then when he puts it up and presses the rope down the ball falls down and the rope can move.

Holly McCaskey The neck of the vase goes down almost all the way through, so some water is in the center but most is the in outside section. As he tips it the stuff in the inside is empties, and the outside is trapped. Once leveling it out, the water evenly distributes to the center. (after the first Pneumatic toy you can see the neck continue down as he pours)
